I now have two pairs of these and my first pair I noticed they were so tight they made the tops of my feet hurt BAD. I tried pulling on the strings to stretch them out but that didn’t help. But I pulled on the not a bit and it popped and loosened up perfect! I had to do this trick with both pairs and haven’t had a problem since. The extra sole is much more comfortable than regular Hey Dudes

If you are like me, everyone I know seems to LOVE this brand. This includes my picky husband. Our 85 year old aunt had these on so I thought I would try. The pros: I LOVE the thicker soles- no question! Color is adorable and will match several outfits in my weekly “go to” outfits. Ver versatile and cute! The con: I measure just under 8.5 and have a narrower foot - I’m not a narrow but barely. The material is extremely dense and will rub my foot- all solved with no show socks.

Updated: I absolutely love these shoes. I now have every color. I have discovered a trick for a better fit and a better look, I think. I first did this because I'm not a fan of the leather lace end covers. I untied the lace end and remove the leather cover, then I tied knots in the laces. It gives the shoes a little more room and I think it looks better than having weird horns sticking out. I love shoes that add height but are comfortable. These are very cute with jeans, shorts and even casual dresses. They add at least 1.5" height. I usually wear a 7.5, but the size 8 fit perfectly. I wish they had more colors. I think the Chambray are my favorite, but they show dirt more than the others.

I have a couple pairs of Wendy Rise in 8. They fit perfect. i ordered these in an 8 as well but i cannot even get my foot into them. I loosed the elastic lace as much as i could but it was a very tight fit. Seems like great shoe, as all other Hey Dudes, just sized very narrow.

Update!!! I wore these shoes all day to try and break them in because the material is extremely stiff like cardboard and they are tight (uncomfortable) on top where the elastic strings are. These shoes HURT my feet! Where the material folds over on top, the materials pushes down into my feet and it actually left bruises! I’m very disappointed!!! I have another pair of Hey Dudes, but this pair are very tight around the top/arch of my foot. I wear a size 8 medium. And when I walk my heel slides in and out of the shoes, making my socks, come off my heels, which is very irritating, even though the shoes is super tight everywhere else. It’s a weird feeling! Maybe they need to be “broken in.” Finally, the toe box feels low, meaning that my toenails (which I keep very short) rub against the top of the shoes. My original pair are loose an feel great! This pair are just weird!!! I will keep them to walk around inside to see if they loosen up, but my first impression of these Hey Dudes is NOT positive! Probably last pair I’ll ever buy.
