These are my first pair of Hey Dudes and DUDES let me tell you, they are great. Could use a little more cushion but nothing an insert can’t fix. The are classier than flip flops or slides. They are the lightest shoes I own!!

I'm a barefooter. I wear shoes only when I go outdoors, and I have the Vibram Five-Fingers for that. But many people don't like to see the shape of human toes even if they're covered. So I needed shoes that would work in all public places. These look good enough for a fancy event. I chose a white sole because I live in Florida and you shouldn't wear black soles on a boat! These Dudes are cloth and after a little wearing-in, they let my toes splay out when I want to. Best of all worlds shoe. And my first pair still look great after five years! The soles aren't worn enough to dispose of them, no holes -- I just like to be confident of my step when I'm on a boat or my bicycle.

Bought these because my husband is an island boy, he hates shoes but we were headed on vacation and slippas are not a proper shoe for dinner, he loves them and asked for another pair. The only down side is they do not come in 1/2 sizes he is a 10.5 wide so I got him an 11 it was a but large so he wore socks (another thing my island man hates to wear)
