When this brand of shoe first came out, I thought it was a passing fad that would run its course. A couple of years later, I was amazed, they’re still around and getting more and more popular. When I showed them to my husband, he seemed adamantly against trying a pair. A couple of months later he noticed more and more people wearing them, he would ask about them and get their feedback. He decided he would like to try a pair for himself. I found these on Amazon in his size & at a bargain price. He tried them, and he has barely taken them off since! He absolutely loves them. He says they’re so lightweight. They feel like house slippers that you can wear anywhere! You can dress them up or dress them down. They look good with khaki slacks and good with swimming trunks - however you wear them, all the time they feel good! My husband is a hard worker and he is on his feet a lot. I’m so happy we found a pair of shoes that are this comfortable for him. He’s a fan! We even wound up getting a second pair for him. ... show more

I've purchased two pair of these in a row. The cons: They not exactly tough--at least, not this version. The fabric on the first pair developed a tear within 3 or 4 months. The shoes are short. Your toes will touch the end of the toe box, if you purchase your usual size. If you size up, they will likely feel a bit sloppy. Though they are machine washable, the insoles are not, and they're the component most likely to need washing for any reason other than appearance. Memory foam breaks down pretty quickly. They'll feel cushy until you get a few miles on them. Then they'll feel flat. The Pros: I began this review by saying I've purchased two pair in a row. They look cool. They feel cool. Once you adjust to the feeling of the short toe box, you'll realize the shoe doesn't put pressure on your toes. They're lightweight. They're versatile, both in application and in appearance. They look great with casual shorts or dressier chinos. They're easy to get on and off in a hurry. They're comfortable and attractive with or without socks. They're washable (except for the insole, as mentioned). They fill much the same niche as a boat shoe, minus the cost and weight, with more variations available. Would I buy them again? Yes---as long as they're on sale. ;-) ... show more

I wasn’t sure how I would like these honestly, as I’m quite shoe picky. I got these for a quick grab n go solution for running errands and such. To my surprise these are very comfortable, solidly stylish and extremely affordable for the versatility offered. No idea how long these will hold up but even if I get half a year out of these shoes, I’m thrilled! If you’re on the fence, give them a shot. They’re quite inexpensive so not too much to lose here. When I have to make a quick run down the road or go do some brief maintenance in the yard, I hate having to go get socks and shoes to get the job done. As I've gotten older, flip flops don't have enough cushion for my feet, and leave both my feet and knees feeling strained after even an hour of wear (thanks previous knee and ankle injuries...). Not these shoes! These are great for all those small tasks around the house, and you don't have to worry if the day goes longer than you expected because there is enough cushion to ensure you have the support you need for most levels of activity. They run true to size, making them easily giftable for other family members during the holidays, which we've done for both my parents and the in-laws. At first, I must admit I was concerned due to the fact that they have no half sizes. My size is a 9 1/2 so I risked it and went for the size 9 and it fit perfect! Very comfortable to walk in and I love how they look with or without socks. Shorts, or jeans and my feet don't sweat in them. Definitely buying more. Only thing I would say is .. I got my shoes in last night & while I am working from home today, I threw them on to get a feel of what they would be like on a daily basis. The fabric is nice, soft & lightweight, & the soles are lightweight as well. Barely feels like I have anything on. I won't be going into the office for a while (lots of my team is on vacation) but I will wear these out wherever I can. But early impressions are REALLY good ! I just got my Hey Dudes on a recommendation from a friend. Very happy with them. I was looking for a closed toe alternative to my flops. These are perfect. Slips on as easy as flops. Super comfy. Looks good. Breathable enough to not need socks. Only minor issues is the grip isn't quite as good as a tennis shoe, especially on tile.
