  • 5 year old loves these “pieces of junk”
My 5 year olds saw these on TV and ask for them for Christmas. I bought him the set and he absolutely loves playing with them. I already have to get new batteries for his “motor.” He loves to build legos, blocks and other things. I initially did not like them because I thought they were too hard to snap together, but not all of the connections are like that. We only followed instructions for one or two robots before he started coming up with his own inventions. I just wish the dumpster was a little bigger so it’s easier for him to pick up and store his pieces and shut the lid without taking apart his inventions. I had to get him a different container. I love how it sparks imagination of how the pieces can be used. He brought his motor and a couple of tires to my daughters basketball practice and all of the kids there ended up playing with him (ages 4-13). ... show more

  • Grandsons loved this
Maybe seems like plastic junk but brilliant toy for the stage my grandsons are in right now, kept them busy for an hour, motors make this interesting and fun. I just with they weren’t random sets because I don’t want to buy a repeat. I’d buy more if labeled

  • Super cute!
The garbage bags and trash are so adorable. My 4 kids worked together. I would say not for under 8, it's too hard to put together. The robots come with different motors to vibrate, spin, or light up.

  • Cute. Needs improvement.
These are fun, but none of the little balls could fit to snap for the head on the large body part for the Rev robot. I accidentally bent two pieces trying to make them fit. On another robot, one of the legs on Dougie would unsnap if you barely touched it. My 5 year old has been extremely interested so far. He did want better detailed instructions similar to legos, but I think most kids probably enjoy using the provided pictures. Since he didn’t have instructions and didn’t like the provided picture, it did encourage him to make his own creative robot. My 4 year old wanted Mommy to put them together, but he would immediately terminate them. The 4 year old hid a few pieces. I think quality control could possibly improve. We plan to buy another container in hopes to get the motor module that spins. We received one module that vibrates and one module that lights up. Also, my 5 year old accidentally broke the chain on the first day by stretching it. Pictures are of the robots partly put together. Some a little different. Again, my 4 year old kept taking them apart. Also, they thought the little pile of poop was hilarious. I bought a medium box from Target. I gave it 5 stars. We received another Rev robot in the medium box, but the ball piece connected. Our experience was absolutely wonderful with all of the parts. Instead of receiving a red light up module, we received a green light up module. My 5 year old requested more junkbots! ... show more

  • Really creative toy.
I really wasn't expecting much out of this toy. It's just a bunch of fake garbage in a garbage can. Then, your kid starts putting the pieces together to make little robots. It's wildly creative. They basically recycle junk from a garbage can into new things. My son (9) is enjoying this immensely! It's a good value for the money after all. The little garbage dumpster is great for holding all the pieces when they're not playing with it. ... show more

  • Great concept, but mediocre execution
Love the concept of building robots out of junk and the building pieces are fun. However, it is even for me, as an adult, rather difficult to snap the pieces in place, and keep them together. They are harder to snap in, but once in place fall out rather easy, if you touch them on accident. The building pieces also could be bigger. Once put together they the junk robots look cute, but as I sad you can't really play with them because they fall apart easily. This toy def needs some improvements. ... show more

  • These are amazing
For the price, it’s funny to me that anyone would rate this less than 5 stars! My 9 year old has spent hours and hours playing with these toys. They are so cleverly designed. I am extremely impressed. I wish we could know how many sets there are total, so we could know when we’ve gotten them all. Currently here to order more sets! If your kids are mechanical at all, or interested in robots, this fun inexpensive set will be a win! Buy it!!! ... show more
