The dual strap system is an absolute game changer. It does an excellent job of reinforcing your wrists. The leather is high quality and the fit is really nice, maybe go a size up if you have thick wraps under the gloves. the design of the gloves curve your fingers slightly, making eye pokes less likely (take notes Dana).

These are solid gloves but need some serious braking in. Super tight to start and hurt my pinky finger. But with a week of use they broke in and feel much better. I have been using them to hit a heavy bag, but the padding is a bit thin for this purpose (unless you really want to condition your knuckles). They are good and well-made but not perfect.

First and foremost... SIZE. UP. I have a 9" hand circumference, which, by their sizing chart, would put me squarely between medium and large. I bought these in an XL, intending to use them with the Hayabusa Gel Handwraps, but the handwraps don't fit under the gloves. Now, here you may note that I rated this 5 stars. Well, yes. These gloves are absolutely awesome, because luckily, the XLs fit my Med-Large hands absolutely wonderfully. Well made, they feel sturdy, and the wrist support is wonderful.

Hayabusa is my go to for my boxing equipment but I personally did not like the feel of these hybrid gloves. After seeing so many good reviews I'm surprised I feel so different. These are tight like many reviewers mentioned but after a few good punches my pinky and ring finger was sore from the glove digging into my hand. Glove is constantly trying to pull my hands apart when trying to make a fist. Making a fist is not comfortable. I can't imagine putting on my 180inch wraps under this. Impossible. Maybe I got the wrong size but I measured and bought the recommended Medium size. I have small hands for a guy and these just weren't comfortable or fitting. I really wanted to like these and eagerly waited for them to arrive only to be disappointed. Still overall a solid feeling product. Great materials and good protection. These just weren't for me.

I was skeptical about buying this because I wanted to get a size L. My hand measurements were size medium, and I couldn't find these in White on Hayabusafight website. Seeing there was only XL here, I took a chance and tested them out sparring already. There were great 👍. Try them on first before usage and start breaking them in as best you can before sparring. Even with these being 2 sizes bigger, it's still a tight fit. They will get comfortable. At first putting the on it was rigid and I thought it was going to be an issue with my knuckles, that why you need to break them in so the glove can shape and settle with you closed fist. If you want a white pair and you are iffy about size XL, take the chance, these look great in white.

Having ordered several pairs, these have the best combination of substantial leather around fingers and open palm for grabbing others' wrists. Other gloves that I tried either had a mesh covering over entire palm, which fell apart over time, or too thin strips of leather that would tear after several months. These take a little breaking in, but seem fantastic.
