I used this on my trip to Jamaica and it worked great. I was in the sun for hours and it kept me from getting any lines. I did reapply after going in the water and when I was feeling really hot. However, I did get burned on the top of my feet as the sand was all over them so I couldn't put sunscreen on them. Lesson learned put lots of sunscreen on your feet prior to arriving to the beach. It does stay on slightly when you go in water. You will see a faint white cast on your skin, but nothing extremely noticeable. Otherwise it rubs in really well and there is no white cast, (only after you go in water will you notice it slightly). If your main purpose is to protect your skin, then this is your friend. It's reef safe and does have safer active ingredients that I feel more comfortable using on my skin. Very happy. I used about 3/4 of the bottle for 3 days of use, this includes reapply applications. So if you have a family you may need to take more than one bottle for a long trip and it's a bit more pricey, but better ingredients typically do cost more.

I am loyal to the Hawaiian Tropic brand because they have a wonderful scent. Not like the typical sunscreen smell, but fragrant and subtle. This sunscreen does keep my skin protected and I use it almost everyday living in sunny Las Vegas. Doesn't leave a white film and blends into my skin. It is matte, doesn't feel oily. I prefer the 30 SPF for daily use. This is my second purchase and just want a smaller size for travel. But I'll just squirt some into an empty travel sized bottle because I enjoy it for my everyday lotion.

This was my first time purchasing this from Amazon though I've bought this product elsewhere before. This is a sunscreen I come back to because I can use it on my body and it works relatively well on my face as well. It is hydrating and can give a matte-ish looking finish although on my face I'd say it leaves more of a dewy look because I put moisturizer on prior to applying. I've seen a few reviews mention there is pilling when applying to the face and while I've had that happen it's normally only during the day when I reapply. I think that first thing in the morning I don't really have that issue because of the moisturizer I put on before- I let the moisturizer soak in a bit before going in with the sunscreen. My favorite thing about this sunscreen is that it doesn't sting my eyes, I've worn it out on 90+ SoCal heat and it has not stung my eyes- there's been numerous sunscreen I like on my face but don't repurchase because even mid-80"s heat causes them to run and both sting and blur my vision. As for my giving this a 4 rather than a 5 it is because it leaves a mild white cast after I apply it norming and reapplying throughout the day. The mild white cast does eventually go away but it does take some time, though that is the one downsides I am glad that I'm at least not forced to sport a ghost-ish face all day. In all honestly, the cast is only mild when compared to others like the New "Sheer" Bluelizard SPF 50 face lotion, among others. I'm a little jealous of others who say they don't have a white cast at all but different products react differently with different people so I know it might just be a "me thing." Overall this is one of the sheer and non-tinted sunscreens I am happiest with and will repurchase again as needed unless I stumble onto that unicorn 50 broad spectrum SPF, cast free, no eye burning/ irritating, and reasonably priced and sized sunscreen =)

I always look for sunscreen with the skin cancer seal of approval and this one has it. We use it anytime we are outside. The matte is great for putting on before going golfing so your hands aren’t all slippery to be able to grip your golf clubs. It also smells amazing!

I was trying this product for the first time and I received it last week… I wish I had read the reviews before I purchased it because another person had said the only reason that the sunscreen is so low is because it’s expiring soon. So I went and checked my bottle and that’s true!!! It’s even worse now ! My bottle expires in November, so that means I only have 30 something days to use this sunscreen before it’s basically useless. I looked it up online and it’s not good to use expired sunscreens because it doesn’t protect you from UV rays anymore!! Be careful with this product while it’s priced low!!! It’s only low because they’re clearing inventory. SAVE YOUR MONEY! Or invest in buying this product somewhere else… extremely disappointed with this brand

I was so excited to try this product when it hit the shelves!! This is much cheaper here than in stores!! It completely has the original scent that we’ve all come to love of Hawaiian Tropic. I love the high sun protection it offers!! Even with my sensitive skin I can wear it daily; with or without makeup!
