Her bio dad sent a $$$ robe from the Wizarding World and she is getting other Potter items. Our little one was given a choice of any costume and chose Harry Potter himself. Well why not! The costume is a one piece jumpsuit that shows shirt, tie, sweater vest and slacks. The robe has an affixed felt Griffindor patch, large sleeves and a hood which is lined in red. This isn't a deluxe costume but it will makes her feel special. She is very excited to wear her HP costume at the party and next month for Halloween. The chain stiching shows around the neck and collar and looks a little cheap but isn't terribly noticeable plus again, not a deluxe costume. ... show more

I had read the reviews but was not too clear on what some meant by the costume having 2 parts—a robe and a jumpsuit. It had me wondering- Was the junpsuit attached to the robe? What did it look like? Would it be too warm? But I purchased it anyway as the price was attractive enough for a good robe. So yes, there are 2 parts to this costume. I’m including a pic so it’s clearer to those considering this. The jumpsuit is made of light material (standard costume fare, like super hero jumpsuits). It has a stiff collar, but the rest are of soft material; comes in long sleeves and long pants. Closure is via 3 velcro patches at the back. The robe is a little thicker and the hood and part of the top is lined with maroon fabric. The top of the robe is secured via a velcro patch. It has a printed Gryffindor patch sewn on the left side. My son is 10, about 56inches tall and weighs about 70+ lbs. This fit him a little loose but he’s perfectly fine with that. In fact, he’s super happy with it. This was a perfect costume for my 6 year old. It was a bit long on him, but he is petite. The quality is good. It did not tear or get snags. We now have it as a dress up piece in our Cupboard under the stairs.
