Beware, these are not like the sweet US gummies. Rather tart tasting. I really hoped these tasted like the essence of spirits since "wine" was in the name but they do not. Product was fresh and shipping was fast. Just not what I hoped they would be.

    • What is going on with wine gum recipes???
I don't know what happened to the recipe for these wine gums but the texture, taste, and shapes of the candies changed and not for the better. Everyone in my family loves wine gums but it's been very difficult to get good ones. We started with Maynards, which started out great, then turned into super soft gummy candies without much flavor in future orders. We then switched to Gustav's who temporarily had a superior product to Maynard's, then Gustav's followed suit with horrible wine gums. We were delighted to finally settle on Haribo wine gums; their licorice wheels are outstanding, and their wine gums were for a short while...and now they, too, have gone down the same (undesirable) path as Maynard's and Gustav's. We only went to wine gums because Jujyfruits, made in the USA, changed their recipe and screwed up the consistency and flavor of their candy. It's highly disappointing; I guess all the wine gums ultimately come from the same factory. We won't be purchasing again! ... show more

Loved the taste of these as a kid when I lived in GB, now that I'm stateside and had a few extra coins for a taste of nostalgia these are great. Even more flavor now that I can tell what the flavors are.

I cannot get enough of these. They are the superior gummy if you ask me. I love the tinge of tart and tang flavor.
