My mom is 5'0 so the chiffon in the back hung slightly longer, but it wasn't so long it touched the ground. Maybe a 3 inches above her ankle. The color wa a nice rich deep purple and the chiffon covering helps to hide anything you don't want seen. My mom is typically between a 16W/18W. I went with thr 18W and it was a great fit. Not to big or to small, but just right. Would definitely recommend and would order again in a different color. If you're in the fence, buy the dress you won't regret it at all. OH MY I was looking long and hard for a dress to wear to my sons wedding. I needed something that would camouflage my stomach and my rear end. I am also hippy. I got this dress first in an size 18 and it was a bit snug so I then got a size 20. The color was amazing, it camouflage all that did not want seen and it flowed so nice on me. I received so many compliments. The temperature wa 99 degrees that day but no humidity and i was comfortable. I did have to steam iron it before wedding since it was in a suit case but other than that I was so impressed especially since I only paid 35 for the dress. Got to love Amazon ... show more

The color is great. Ordered a large but it’s a little snug so would size up on order! Also didn’t realize the dress is ‘sparkly’. Probably wouldn’t have ordered it if I’d realized this, but a pretty dress! Good quality for the price!
