I love the lightweight, soft cotton feel of the shirt. The purple color ('violet splendor') is beautiful and just what I wanted. I've had 6 long sleeved Hane's shirts for years and hope this lasts as well as the old ones. I like the narrow sleeves because I tend to push up my sleeves and this helps them stay up. The size S 'violet splendor' shirt fit nicely, just like my old ones. PROBLEMS: The size S 'sizzling pink' shirt was significantly smaller, and I had to return it. I got a size M which fit. BTW holding them up together the size M pink is the same size as the size S violet. Also, on the pink shirt the bottom hem was poorly sewn. The stitching missed the edge of the fabric, so it frays a bit. I kept it anyway because I love the color and feel. Because I do love these shirts I ordered 2 more! Size S "regalia blue" fits as expected. The color blue is much lighter than shown, but a nice slightly grayish blue. Size S "cactus" fits as expected. The color is a bit greener than shown, but about the same color value and quite nice.

I was so looking forward to getting this shirt. It's hard to find all cotton knit. Cotton knit is usually soft, comfortable and breathable, as well as being stretchy. This fabric wasn't especially soft and comfortable and it barely stretched. It's not a high quality cotton. The arms were really long and narrow. I couldn't get the sleeves on all the way and I always wear a size large. The length of the sleeves would seem to indicate that the shirt was designed for a tall person, but the torso was short. The shirt didn't make it as far as my hips and I'm under 5 feet tall. The width of the shirt was technically correct. However, because it barely stretches it was very constricting when pulling it on, and the head opening was so small that I had to really work to get my head through it. My updo was a wreck by the time I got it over my head. I was disappointed to say the least. I wish Hanes made the quality shirts the way they used to.

We are going to South Dakota in May. Weather is "iffy" at that time. I wanted tops for "layering" but did not want the slippery lingerie type of "wicking" top. I want something that I can wear under my hiking vest and with leggings for walking in weather that may be in the 60s at the peak of the day and in the 40s in the morning. These tops are very basic, fit well, hit me at the hip, and have good sleeve length. They are cotton so will need to be washed in cold water but they are worth every penny (which was not all that much to begin with). They will pack well. The only thing I'd add to their design would be thumb-holes. They are from Hanes which is reputable. They are exactly what I was looking for. A good, basic t-shirt. Great value.

I ordered this shirt in White XL. I needed it for wearing under a turtleneck while walking in cold weather (50's). I'm 5'5 and 125. I work out and I'm fit. I do not have big guns - just fit arms. The arms on this shirt fit everywhere but the elbows - the elbows were tight. The remainder of the shirt was pretty loose and comfry. Again - I needed something a lttle loose for my outdoor workouts - I didn't want a skin-tight shirt. Basically - the shirt didn't fit. If you're bigger than I am - the torso of the shirt will fit but if you have "bulky" arms - forget it. I also ordered the same shirt in BLACK Large - I've found it's just easier to order two sizes online and keep one (pain but that's our world today). The black looked great but the arms would fit a kid - way too tight. It's almost as if they sewed the same arms on both shirts. Something is way off. I must say - it was 100% cotton. It's getting impossible to buy quality clothing these days.

After only a few washes on the delicate cycle, I already got a hole in my armpit in one of the three shirts that I bought. Not a big deal, easily reparable, but inconvenient. Nonetheless, it's comfy, and covers nicely in all the right places!
