These t-shirts are a nice thick cotton but still very breathable. The sizing on the shirt was exactly as expected. My husband is 5'8 and weighs roughly 180 pounds. He doesn't like tight fitting shirts and he normally wears a size large. The large size in this shirt fits him perfectly and even has a little more length to it than most shirts we find which we loved because my husband has a slightly longer torso and hates when his shirts ride up when he's working on things, so having that extra inch or so in length makes all the difference! The shirt also offers exceptional color options. We purchased the navy blue color and it is very vibrant in person. The shirt itself looks exceptionally well made and durable. This shirt is truly a great work shirt that you can wear all year round for a multitude of occassions. Again, they are a nice thick cotton and not a thin shirt and is so insanely comfortable. We've washed it a few times now and it's held up beautifully and hardly shrank if at all! Definitely a quality t shirt at an amazing price. I still have Hanes Beefy-T shirts that are 8-10 years old and, other than being a little faded, are in good shape. These shirts are worn almost weekly and are used for yard work, hiking, etc. and hold up very well. I bought these in gray and black. They were two completely different shirts. The tags and the fit of the shirt were totally different. I liked the gray shirts,which have a square tag (where the black shirts had a long rectangular tag), but there is at least one defect everytime I buy these. At least one shirt has a long vertical line where it looks like material is missing. I'm not sure if it is the shirts in general or if the ones from Amazon are knockoffs or just lower quality. ... show more

I have bought 4 of these, they really are thicker and i use them as a baselayer sometimes too. The colors seem stable in the wash and it is about 1.5x as heavy as an normal t shirt. Very comfortable soft but tough fabric. Now that i tried them i think i will pay more and get these over reg t shirts, have had for about 8 months and they still look new ... show more

I have been using Hanes Beefy T's for several years and I have been very satisfied with their quality, construction, and durability. I like the weight of the fabric and the seemless design. I’ve ordered Hanes Beefy T-shirts a few times. I’ve received some with no brand or size markings, some with the brand and size markings printed on the fabric inside below the back of the neck and now, some with large black tags that really irritate unless removed. If you must remove the tags, will you remember the brand and size when it comes time to reorder? I order different sizes for wearing as a casual t-shirt vs undershirt. ... show more

I needed a thicker ("Beefy") T-shirt to absorb sweat during extended racquetball sessions, but I've found that these shirts makes me much warmer than a standard non-beefy shirt. It's 100% cotton that I've washed a few times, so I expected it to breathe, but it's woven like high thread count flannel so they retain body heat. Probably very good as an undershirt in cold weather, but a bit toasty for active sports in normal weather or indoors. ... show more

NOT 100% cotton as stated. Shirt is a 60/40 blend. Wanted a 100% cotton shirt. Said in the add that it was 100% cotton, but when it came it was not. Quality was not as good as expected, but after washing still a pretty good shirt.
