.....That's the reason I withheld the fifth star. They fit very well and, as these were my first experience with knitted fabric used in boxers, I was concerned. In fact, they have a bit more "give" than classic Hanes boxers but that is balanced by their not being as full as their compatriots. Liked the five pack and at a really great price. If you're a snob about your underwear and feel that guys at the gym will think less of you for not wearing designer skivvies, skip these. However, for everyone else, these are great. Actually, I just talked myself back into giving them five stars. What I wish I knew is how durable they'll be after numerous trips through the washing machine, how they'll hold up in everyday wear and...i'm destined to find out. Until then, these are great utilitarian boxers in attractive plaid colours. In six months I'll drop by to give an update on durability and performance.

A couple of things stood out to me with these - first the material is very thin/light (55% cotton, %45 polyester) which at first I was unsure about, but they are very comfortable, and time will tell to see about durability. They are Hanes though, so I'm not too worried. The second thing that is new to me is the leg holes seem narrower than I'm used to. I'm thinking this helps keep things contained, which it certainly seems to. I thought it might limit mobility of my legs, but maybe only a couple times have I even noticed them. So all good!

About a year ago I had knee surgery, so I began to wear boxers (helped me to dress with large leg wrapping). I've tried three brands: Covington, Jockey, and Hanes. So far the challenge has been the quality of the waist elastic. Most of the Covington have been discarded because the elastic stretched, and I've noticed a similar problem with Jockey. But Hanes seem to hold up better. They fit well and I do enjoy the comfort. The tagless pitch is a gimmick. I am impressed, however, with overall product quality. I'm staying with these.

I'm 36-inches at the waist and the large size that I ordered fits well. The patterns are also very nice. The price was great and much cheaper than I could find at any local store ... even a few dollars cheaper than the stores that give the 20% to 30% off coupons. I already washed them a few times and haven't noticed any deterioration of the fabric.

I'm a woman and like to have a bunch of men's boxers for hanging around in the summer--for sleeping/hanging around the house when I need a little coverage, for painting projects when I don't want to ruin a nice pair of shorts, for washing the car, or for wearing to a beach where I worry about my stuff getting ripped off. There's nothing exceptional about these, but they have a nice variety of colors/patterns and fit comfortably. On a skinny girl, they might be too baggy even in the smallest size, but I have a curvier figure, so I like the extra room. I don't like my clothes skin tight anyway. These aren't the highest quality cotton you can buy, but I'm not wearing them as underwear, so I don't mind. For the price, they're perfect for my needs.
