    • Great for Traveling
The intent of this purchase was exclusively for travel. These briefs are made of rayon and polyester. I also purchased the Hanes Men's 5-Pack Cool Comfort Lightweight Breathable Mesh Brief, which is a cotton polyester mesh, also sold at Amazon. While it does not matter to me, this package had no red briefs as pictured, but more importantly contained five briefs. As other reviewers have noted, the sizing is on the small side. I am normally a medium, but the large size has a comparable fit. So upsize one notch, and you should be OK. When traveling, weight and mass are of great importance. My regular cotton briefs weigh 2.5 ounces, but these rayon/ polyester briefs weigh only 2 ounces. While that may not seem to be a big deal, these briefs take up less space. We use compression pouches when traveling, and I can barely stuff 8 cotton briefs in the pouch. I can pack 10 of these briefs in the same pouch, and it is easier to compress. Keep in mind that airlines are imposing stricter rules with luggage. Before you know it, those ounces add up into pounds. These briefs also, (predictably), dry faster. The large size fits me well, and is not uncomfortable in any way. Frankly, it is hard to tell the difference from my regular 100% cotton briefs. The rayon polyester blend does not seem to cling or bind. I can thus recommend these briefs as well as the cotton/polyester mesh type listed above.     • Won't Buy These Again!
Don't count on getting what you see in the images. In other words, what I received was a mixed bag of material patterns and colors, not what's shown. Stripes & pokadots? Yep. A couple of them looked like a women's pattern, feminized, not something I'd ever wear. I threw those pairs away instantly. They also fit about a size too small as well. They are marked correctly but aren't. For the record, I ordered a different type of 'Hane's' at the same time....they are fine as are the previous versions I've purchased. So yes, I know the difference. It's not worth the time to send back the entire pack, I just won't purchase these again ever. I would not recommend others purchase them either. ... show more

    • Agree with others on size
I should have listened to what all the other people that were speaking up about the size issue. I thought well let me take a chance - well they were NOT wrong these things are way, way too small. Lesson learned! The other thing I discovered is that hoping to get a good selection of colors is a dream all I got is black and gray which would have been something I could live with had the sizing been correct but since neither one was I am not recommending these to anyone. Such a shame with today's technology that something this simple cannot be sold with correct information. ... show more

    • Where’s the red?!?
Okay, these run a shade small but they work. I have a complaint, though. This is the SECOND time I have ordered men’s underwear, variety pack. BOTH times there were pictures showing the product and the colors. I wanted a red pair which was why I ordered a second time. There was not a red in the package either time!!! Where’s the red and why do you show pictures of them and don’t send them?! Where are you keeping those, anyway? Not happy. ... show more

    • Way too small!
Very small, could barely get on! I ordered XL as my other Hanes briefs are XL and the size chart had me at XL. These fit like a Medium would. Even though I have lost weight recently these would not fit! Nice material though. Very disappointed they didn’t fit.

I ordered this by mistake--meant to order the "performance" 4-pack which is 100% polyester. Could have returned it, but kept them. They are great. Don't get sweaty. (Later I got the Hanes "performance" 4-pack. I recommend those also for sports and outdoors use (hiking, etc.). These are good for everyday use. ... show more

    • Hanes' sizing is across the board!
Size: Medium Color: Assorted
Relying on the sizing of currently-owned Hanes underwear this style, I ordered the Medium size. I am a 33" waist and the sizing for Hanes Medium (waist 32-34) makes sense. However, when I received these underwear, the sizing in a single package ranges from an waist size of 30" to a size of 33". The first pair I tried on (after washing) was so small that I found them to be un-wearable! I tried on a different pair and they were probably about a size for a 32" waist. The next was a little looser still, at about a size 33, which was as perfect as I expected from this order. All told, I am returning these to place another order for the same size so I can see if they are actually all the same size in the package. Quality and comfort is great, when they are sized consistently. Out of a single package, it is a spectrum of actual sizes. Not happy! ... show more

Good thing I listened to the prior reviews on this site. As others had mentioned , you have to order a size up. I’m not a big guy 5’7” 138 lbs, usually wear mediums , borderline small. Past reviews urged to order a size up. Large for me? Wife laughed at me, but i did order the large. They fit great, but no way I’m a large in any other brief made on this planet. The other issue is the colors. Like some other reviews I read, they are not the solids as shown on the product photos, the pack i got came with 3 solids and 2 with polka dot like patterns. I honestly don’t care that much so I’m still gonna keep them but others may not love the fact that they could be mistaken for floral print women’s underwear. Otherwise, they are soft and comfortable, breath well, and wick moisture nicely. Not sure if I’ll buy another pack though. ... show more
