Scrubs have come a long way from the shapeless, stiff garments that once defined clinical wear, and these are evidence of how far. I am broad, muscular, and short — the combination that garment sizing treats as an afterthought — and this top fit across the shoulders and chest without the excess fabric length that usually follows when a larger frame finds something that fits where it counts. The drape is nothing like the pointy, stiff constructions of older synthetics, which announced every contour of the torso whether you wanted them to or not; this fabric moves with the body regardless of what shape that body is. The sleeve length was reasonable and, importantly, long enough that an undershirt is unnecessary; an undershirt under moisture-wicking fabric defeats the purpose entirely, and the sleeve length here makes that compromise unnecessary. The fabric behavior is worth describing specifically because the specifications do not capture it. I put this top on soaking wet from the shower and it went on — no struggle, no fabric fighting itself, no stiff resistance that poplin produces under the same conditions. I have what may well be a genetic predisposition for 65/35 poplin and I know exactly what that resistance feels like; this fabric has none of it. Small amounts of water and sweat evaporate so quickly that if you blink, you will miss it, and sweat does not mark or stain the fabric visibly. When I pulled the top from the washer it came out almost dry — a few minutes of air was sufficient and the dryer was unnecessary, which saves electricity and, in winter, puts whatever humidity the fabric releases back into the air where it is welcome. It is not something I have tested, but given how quickly this fabric sheds moisture, one could reasonably wonder whether pulling it from the dryer and putting it on for the commute would result in a dry top by the time one arrived at work. The fabric is remarkably resistant to wrinkling — I own two polos in the same construction and I could bundle either into a ball and the wrinkles would not show, provided it did not spend a week that way in a hot trunk; based on two years of ownership of those polos, I can say categorically that this fabric does not fade. I have done enough backpacking to have deplorable personal history with polyester fabrics and their uncanny ability to retain odor; these scrubs do not have that problem, and if they did, mine would smell permanently of the garlic I enjoy so much when I cook. The construction details reward attention. The badge loop is placed in the shoulder seam, which is exactly where it belongs — accessible without fumbling and positioned so the badge hangs correctly rather than swinging away from the body. A badge that hangs from a shoulder seam rather than clipped to a chest pocket or dangling from a lanyard around the neck stays close to the body, does not swing into patients or surfaces, and the infection control implications of that difference in a clinical environment might well be priceless. The pockets are cut and positioned so that the hands drop into them naturally — imagine standing at rest and reaching for your pockets without thinking about it; that is exactly what these deliver. In a clinical environment where hands in trouser pockets might reasonably raise an eyebrow, having top pockets that accommodate that same relaxed posture without any of the optics is a genuinely thoughtful design detail. The top moved with me without the pointy, fabric-fighting quality I remember from dress whites and older synthetic scrubs. The pants run somewhat long, which is worth noting for anyone in a flat-shoe environment — scrub pants are typically cut for a clinical setting where the wearer is on their feet in clogs or athletic shoes, and the length reflects that assumption. The pants have back pockets; the slash pockets are deep enough to be genuinely useful, and the leg pocket placement is excellent if you are reaching for EMT shears — the geometry optimizes for a clean top-of-pocket draw — but reaching for something at the bottom of the pocket requires more deliberate effort; the tradeoff is that nothing falls out, which in a clinical environment is the correct priority. The waistband was broad enough to stay in place without needing to be cinched tight, and the drawstring on the outside is a detail worth noting specifically: drawstrings on the inside leave an imprint by the end of a long shift, and the placement here avoids that entirely. These are not reversible, which simpler scrubs once were, but reversibility is the casualty of every feature that makes these better — the badge loop placement, the shaped seams, the directional moisture-wicking construction. The tradeoff is worth it.

Great comfort right out of the package with a clean professional look. The fabric feels smooth and cool, and a bit stretchy. Right out of the package, these are easily some of the most comfortable scrubs I have worn. The fabric has a slightly cool and smooth texture with a subtle sheen which I like. This material also handles spills and can be wipes and post cleaned easily on the go. . It does not cling in an uncomfortable way, but you can feel that it is designed to move with you throughout the day. The pocket setup is good in a standard scrub way. The pants include standard front and back pockets along with multiple cargo pockets, including one with a pen holder and an extra sleeve underneath for organization. The top includes a chest pocket with a pen slot and two lower pockets that are large enough to be useful without feeling bulky. They also is an elastic utility loop on the right shoulder. Everything feels accessible and functional. The elastic waistband with drawstring makes the pants easy to adjust and keeps them secure without feeling too restrictive. Movement feels natural, and the overall design supports long hours on your feet. One minor note is the sleeve fit. They sit a bit wider than I would prefer, though this seems to be common across most scrubs, so it is not a major drawback. Material preference will come down to personal taste. This set of Scrubs is currently unavailable. At the time of ordering it was $29.05. That is in the upper middle range of prices for sets like these. While Hanes is a well known brand, the sewing and knotting on the seams of these are not the best. They're okay, with nothing that would appear to compromise the structural integrity of the clothing, but still not great. Other than that, these are comfortable, fairly durable, and have great pockets; lots and lots of great pockets. They fit well, without causing any binding or discomfort which can limit range of motion. The cloth material is a blend of poly and spandex, and it's great. It feels a little unusual as I'm not used to this particular blend, but it's still nice against skin. It has elements that make me think of rugged clothes, yet elements that also make me think of delicate formal clothes. It stretches really well. I have very wide shoulders, and had no trouble pulling the top on. As for overall value, I think it's a nice set, but it really depends on your budget. There are both more expensive and cheaper options available. These are higher than middle of the road in price, but better than average in material and manufacturing quality. If they become available again for you, I can give them a good recommendation.

I am extremely pleased with this set of scrubs! I’ve worn many different brands over the years, and these have quickly become one of my favorites. Scrubs pricing has gotten out of hand, the trendy brands want $80 plus per set, so I tried these Hanes ones at $13 expecting to be disappointed. I wasn't. The fit on the X large runs true, maybe slightly relaxed, which I prefer for a long shift. The jogger style pants have a proper stretch waistband that doesn't dig in or roll over, and the top is cut so reaching overhead doesn't pull the whole thing up. There are enough pockets to actually work in, including a badge loop, which cheap scrub sets always seem to forget. The material is lighter weight than the premium brands, that's the honest tradeoff. It breathes well and the moisture wicking is real, I stay drier in these than in my heavier sets. But if you want that thick structured feel, this isn't it. Quality of the stitching looks fine after multiple washes so far, no loose seams, and the athletic navy color hasn't faded or gone patchy. Appearance is professional enough that nobody can tell these cost a tenth of the designer ones. Value for money is where these win outright. At around $13 for a full set, you could replace these three times a year and still come out way ahead. For everyday workhorse scrubs, easy recommendation.
