I was really surprised by this dress. The fabric is thick and feels high quality. The stitching is consistent and not sloppy anywhere that I could see. Despite being thick, the fabric is also stretchy enough to conform well to different body types. The fit is true to size for me, and it’s really flattering. One thing I’d note is the dress’s cut is pretty straight up and down, so the fit will look a little different on people who are heavy in one place but not another. I’m pear shaped so it’s a little big on top and a little tighter on the bottom, but I found the belt helped a lot. Even with the cut the way it is, I still found it to be really flattering. Camel/cognac color in suede fabric. It has a nice collar with buttons that high quality metal accented and metal accents along the cuffs. This is a cute dress, but the fit wasn't flattering on me, for reference I'm 5.3 and 130lbs. The lower half just made everything from waist down look much wider which isn't what I'm going for. It may fit better in a smaller size or with a higher hem. The hem hits mid-knee on me (I'm short) and I would like to have it taken up so that it falls to just above knee. This dress has the sash that can be tied on side or in middle. The sash and niching midwaist was also not flattering as it just looked a bit boxy. Anyway this is a very high quality dress that maybe on the right body and right size would be really amazing. I even thought about wearing it unbuttoned over another long blouse with leggings because I just love it so much and would love to wear. This is perfect for fall and can be spruced up for Spring with a colorful scarf ... show more

The entire quality and style of this dress are simply awesome. The Vicuna color is very elegant. While wearing the dress, my body felt at ease and the fabric against my skin felt really comfy. The fabric is composed of 93% Polyester, 7% Spandex, which is a great combination. This sort of dress is suitable for a variety of occasions and seasons. The size 12 I ordered was a good fit. I love each by Halston and each of these dresses have been amazing! Pros Great color, great embellishments the gold buttons really pop against the suede brown camel tones. I love that it comes belted. It’s a great length and a great fit. It’s not super tight. It’s very comfortable to wear and you can wear a lot of things under it or you can even wear it maybe into a very cool spring day. I don’t know if it’s ready for summer but This dress is stunning. !!!! Cons I don’t have a lot of cons for this dress. I think you can get a lot of versatility and a lot of wear at it throughout the year. I think it would be cool to add some alterations to make it fit better but the fit is pretty impeccable as it is I might move the loops for the waist belt up or down. Better in real life! You know how sometimes you order something and you know it could be amazing or a total dud, that’s how I felt about this dress and am happy to report it’s better in person! The suede like texture is perfect for fall/winter. And it will look fabulous with heels or boots, but would even look great at a rodeo/cowboy event with the right jewelry. It’s a very flexible style. The Haltson I knew from back in the day was always sized smaller than other brands but this H Halston dress seems true to size. For reference I am 120# and 5’6”, 32DD and wear size 4 in Lulu bottoms and size 6 in their tops. Size 4 dress fits me with no buttons pulling at chest, plenty of room at waist. ... show more

I’m so glad I got this black long sleeve suede dress. It feels so soft & the details really elevate it! There are gold buttons down the center, a black faux (guessing) leather trim on the sleeves, & a belt that gathers the dress around the waist. The feel of the fabric is luxurious—I love it! This is not a cheap dress but it doesn’t look cheap. I sized up & I’m glad I did. I wouldn’t have felt comfortable in my usual size. The length is nice for leggings or tights, & it feels like it would be comparable in warmth to other dresses I’d put on in the fall or winter.
