Bought these leather dress shoes in black for my son's homecoming dance. He wears a 12.5 in sneakers, so we took advice from the reviews and sized down to a 12 in these. They fit well right out of the box and he wore them to the dance with no break-in period. They still look brand new after the dance. The shoes came beautifully packaged in a sturdy box with foam shoe trees and dust bags for each shoe, providing a great way to store these shoes, which my son will only rarely wear. I can't comment on the shoes' longevity, but they appear well-made and will definitely work for special occasion use. He didn't even try on the Clarks I ordered as a backup, which will be returned. The Clarks appeared a similar quality, but cost twice as much, and were tossed haphazardly in a generic, unlabeled box.
