    • Pretty, but not absorbent and have other problems
I love the color and the flowers on these towels, but they are not the best towels I've ever had. They are soft, but even after 5 washes, they do not absorb moisture very well. Also, the dye is still bleeding out in the washer, so I can't wash them with anything else, and the thread around the towels is shrinking, causing some bunching. They're also still leaving red fuzz everywhere. They are not as thick and plush as I would've liked, either. Maybe they'll get better with more time, but at least they're pretty. My favorite towels are the Simply Vera towels from Kohl's. Update (5/23/2021): We're still using these, and I'm super surprised they've held up! They're definitely not that soft anymore, but they are absorbent now; it took many, many washes. The dye did seem to stop bleeding out eventually, but I'm still afraid to wash them with other nice towels, so I wash them with old towels that I don't care about. I really don't think they would dye anything at this point, though. The threading at the end only shrank a tiny bit, and did not continue to shrink, so the towels are laying/hanging mostly flat and not really all that bunched. They're just a tiny bit curled at the ends. Overall, I'm happy with these. They aren't plush, but they're still very pretty and still a vibrant dark red. (Bumped my 2 stars up to 3 stars) ... show more

If you are going for looks over function this is a nice set of towels. Or they go well with my shower curtain, which has a stylized Japanese castle, mountains, and cherry blossoms in shades of gray, burgundy, and pink. The towels are soft and pretty fluffy, but I moisture seems to sit on the towel surface instead of absorb, so when toweling off after a shower, the towel feels cold from the water sitting on the surface of it. Not very soft, very very thin. Nothing plush about these towels. Pretty color and design, but make sure to wash before using because blue bits will stick to everything if you don't wash first. Would return these if I could, definitely not worth the cost.
