I LOVE this product. Fits me so well, even though I'm an XXL and curvy girl, and have trouble finding things that look right on me. I've had lots of challenges with mail ordering clothes, because they often cling to me in all the wrong places. But gave this a try with much skeptism, and so glad I did. Absolutely LOVE the light fabric. I'm 5'6" and a size 18-20. An XXL fit me perfectly, falls just above the knee, and looks great on me. The fabric feels like a silky rayon, but is washable. It works as either a dress, or over jeans, or leggings. It is light but not see through. I can tell I can wear this year round- in the winter with a long sleeve tee or turtleneck and tights and boots. In the summer just by itself as a dress or long tunic over shorts or capri leggings, wear with heels, wedges, flip flops or other cute sandals. It's perfect for beach or sight seeing, or out to lunch or dinner. I never write reviews, but I absolutely LOVE this dress. It deserves 10 stars, not just 5. This dress has a pretty pattern and the colors are very vibrant. The material is very soft and very lightweight, it’s a good pick if you want something for the dead heat of summer that’s cool but still modest. I found no problems with the construction, all the hems are even as are the shoulders. The sleeves are roomy. The length on me is a couple inches below my knees. For reference I am 5’3” and 140 lbs, curvy. Based on the size chart I got XL, and it’s a touch loose. I’m not a huge fan of the tassel tie, but I loosely tie it and just tuck it in the neckline. The cut of the dress is very boxy, it’s basically a rectangle with sleeves. This is suitable for something that isn’t clingy and hot. I machine washed it on gentle/cold and let it dry flat and pressed it with a warm iron. It did not shrink one bit. There were a few loose threads on the hem which are easily trimmed off, but honestly that seems to be the case with any garment these days regardless of the quality and price point. Love the dress, the flow and feel of the fabric, the cut is very flattering, and I love the sleeve length. But it shrinks very bad. I tried it on when I first got it delivered. The I hand washed and HUNG TO DRY. Then wore it. It had shrunk, so instead of it fitting loosely, it was binding in a few places but I was still able to wear. Repeat, hand wash, hung to dry, this time too tight to wear. I did order a second one 2 sizes too big, I haven’t washed a second or third time yet. But I hope it stops shrinking at some point. I was about this make this my summer uniform for work as a massage therapist but it cost too much to risk buying 5 dresses that may shrink beyond control. ... show more

I only wear this dress once for my cruise. I wore it for dinner. It can be used as a bathing suit cover up also. It is thin and light. I wore a dress slip under. I am 5’3” & 150lbs medium build 38B bra size and a medium fit me loosely. Large was way too big.

The sizing starts at a medium which is what I ordered. I normally wear an XS/S and it fits well, so definitely order up! The picture shows gold cuffs and trim and mine is orange so I was somewhat disappointed in that. I waited to review until after it was washed to see if the other reviews were correct. I washed it in cold and put it in the dryer for 10 min on low to get the wrinkles out. Then hung to dry. As others said, it does shrink some around the chest but not much in length. The second time washed, I simply hung to dry and it came out beautifully. I am short so I wish the length was a little shorter. ... show more

I bought this dress because it looked cute and I could not find what it was made of anywhere. The reviews were good so I took a chance. It took a long time to arrive and when it did it was all polyester. Polyester is bad for skin and bad for the environment so I don’t buy it or wear it if I can avoid it. Blends can be hard to avoid. I returned it. I will add that the manufacturer reached out to me and offered assistance and alternatives to returning it. I did not want to keep it because of the material and suggest they make it clear in the description. This dress is really cute and comfortable. However, I got a large and it fits in the bodice but is snug when you sit down. There is no stretch to this material. It's tight on the arms too if you stretch your arms out it's a bit tight in the shoulder blade area as well again due to the material not having any give. I'm 5' 4 and 187.
