Overall value is 5 stars. Some complained about assembly instructions, but they were what I expected. All tools were included. Everything was labeled. Leisurely pit it together while watching The Voice. What you need to know. As you can see from my pictures, the bottom shelf is on the front (shorter legs of the middle railing). I missed seeing that the shelf mounting holes should be on the long post side on step 1. This works for me, as it's not in the way when standing and I like to shelf on the front side. That said it would be an easy fix if I decide to change. 2 nice hooks are included (different from some of the older pictures and videos). Instructions show them mounted to the front bar. I installed them on the side of the top shelf to keep them and what I'll hang on them out of the way. The tray insert on the top section just rests in a cutout and it's a loose fit. Use some double sided tape to hold it down. The stop rail on the bottom shelf is screwed in. Works great when using a tablet or book at an angle, but I can see it getting in the way if the surface was flat. I plan to drill out the screw holes and insert some small magnets to hold it in place. That way it can be easily removed when not wanted. ... show more

I read a lot of Amazon reviews about this product before I bought it. Now that I've assembled it, here are my impressions. It's a nice looking piece, uncluttered look, and relatively easy to assemble. The parts are a bit cheap (use of plastic where metal would be better, eg), and I'm not sure how sturdy it will prove to be. If you haven't done much assembly before, it's worth noting that all the different screws are in a single package, and not separately labeled. The numbers following the "M6X" prefix (e.g. M6X-35) refers to the length, in millimeters, of the screws. I sorted them by length prior to assembly, and grouped them accordingly before I started. There are two each of the M6 x 20 screws, one that fits the screwdriver, and one that fits the hex key. There are ten assembly steps, which are reasonably straightforward, per the diagram. When you come to Step 4, make sure that the short end of one "L" piece is under the keypad board, and the other under the mousepad board. The picture does show this, but it can be easy to miss when you're trying to get everything aligned. You'll have to slide the cylindrical pipe through the Q clamps to ensure you get this orientation. The only written text on the diagram was in English, which was fine for me, but may be an issue for others. I was surprised, being a North American buyer, that there was no Spanish or French text. The diagram was not always clear, so I had to occasionally refer to the Amazon sales pictures during assembly. The shorter L-shaped legs go to the front. I ordered the power strip upgrade, and, as others have mentioned, although the screws were included, the holes for them were not drilled. You'll need to do that yourself if you get the upgrade. Again, not a problem for me, but perhaps good to be aware of in advance. The table/board heights are adjustable as advertised, but each leg slides up and down and locks independently of the other, and not always smoothly. The included spirit level helps get each leg adjusted to the same height. That's a nice touch to add to the parts, and may have other uses. The wheels do not run smoothly on the laminate floor in my office, but I will not need to move it much for my purposes. The slot for the iPad (which I won't use) is only about a centimeter deep, so am again unsure how functional that will be for others. I may be sounding picky, but I don't regret the purchase, am just letting folks know what to expect. It will suit my primary need to have a small writing desk next to my computer hutch, which does not have a sliding writing board. ... show more

    • Perfect work desk
This is the perfect work desk for me. I injured my back and was unable to sit for a very long time, so I rolled this desk (still do) around often. As a school librarian working with computers and books, I roll this desk from my office to the front of the library whenever I work with classes.

    • Great design, okay execution
Got this as a standing computer desk to work from home. I really like it. Very adjustable. Pretty sturdy. Looks good with the fake patina wood. I've got all my cables managed such that I can just unplug the power strip and roll the whole unit around the room on the included wheels. I've got a standard midsize desktop cpu and dual monitors, keyboard and mouse. Not a lot of room for much else. It's cheap flatpack furniture, but then that's why it's cheap and ships to your house.
