I really like these. They shuffle very easy and are really a solid card. I've been using them for playing cribbage and have played hundreds of games and they still feel like new. I also do magic and have found these cards to work pretty well for that too. They are a little slippery for some tricks, due to being made of the material they are made of, but overall really quality made cards. These will last a long time. We've spilled drinks on these and they just wipe off. Try that with a normal deck. With as many decks that this comes with, I doubt I'll ever need to buy another deck of cards for the rest of my life. ... show more

These plastic cards are solid and easy to use. They shuffle well by hand, but are a little slippery. They have a textured back but not a textured front which makes them a little slippery. I have not had dye come off into my hand and the card durability and quality seems worth the price. I'd buy them again if I need more cards. ... show more

I was pleasantly surprised by these cards. I got plastic cards a very long time ago and did not like them at all. These I like and feel very much like regular good quality paper cards. These bend and flex easier than the regular cards, but they bounce back to being flat. With regular cards you would have to bend them back to flatten them out. Paper cards eventually lose their bounce and I am hoping these will stay bouncy. They are waterproof and I think they will last way longer than a normal deck. More expensive than regular cards, but will out last them so it will be cheaper in the long run. Nothing worse than have a new paper deck and someone accidently damages a corner of a card making them useless because they are now “marked”. With these you’ll have less of a chance of that happening. The face of the cards is smooth and the back is textured. I think this helps them stay in your hands/fingers better. They cut and shuffle well much like a regular new fresh deck. They work just fine with an automatic card shuffler. They are great for card throwing as well. They are slippery, much like a new deck of regular cards. From my experience, the regular cards lose their slipperiness over time. I’ll have to see if these do as well. The slipperiness helps when spreading the cards for doing tricks and for doing waterfall tricks and such. ... show more

We have a regular cribbage night so I was able to slip these in on last nights games. The cards are of a good size and feel, and stood in for a few decks of our normal plastic cards. These held up well -- they are easy to shuffle and resistant to most table issues like slight bends from a shuffle or any condensation damage due to the plastic. The card faces, suits, and indexes are all easily legible without too much of a need for spread (these are larger type, so if you are a narrow card holder, you won't be easily able to discern index and suit at a tight spread). That said the iconography and spacing are "readable" in narrow spread, even if not fully visible. If you have a lot of tight holders at your table, you might have a problem. My only complaint is the texturing on the cards, and it's more a personal preference than anything. The card faces are textured and have a nice feel in the hands. The backs are untextured and slick. It's an odd feeling in my hand that I'm honestly not sure I love, but it does make it easy to tell if a card was inserted the wrong way. I'll have to play with them more to form a longer term opinion. Overall, these are nice, cheaper than our normal plastic cards, and just as easily shuffleable. Good value. ... show more

A set of these "Gutshot" cards came included with a tabletop poker mat I ordered previously, and I fully expected them to be horrible. I was very pleasantly surprised - enough to order this additional set. The cards shuffle and deal nicely, have a subtle texture somewhat like Modiano Platinum Acetate, and seem durable enough to hold up over a long time. A nice cut card is included with each of the two decks. Triton, if you're listening, a few small complaints: 1) Playing cards backs should always be symmetrical. You should never be able to tell if a card has been rotated 180 degrees. An untrustworthy person could rotate only certain cards and then be able to identify them from their backs. 2) It's a little strange that only the back side of the card is textured. I believe this is to allow the thumb to get a grip when attempting to slide the top card off the deck for dealing, but it feels a little off. 3) Including a hard plastic case would be a nice touch. These come as two individually boxed decks (like Bicycle cards you'd get at the drugstore) packed into a larger cardboard box. The box is of nice quality with a magnetic closure, attractive enough to gift, but not as suitable for long term storage and use as a hard plastic case. Again, these complaints are minor - not enough to deduct a star. I'm a card snob and these are certainly good enough to use in our low-stakes home games. ... show more
