I needed a black tie for an event. This tie is excellent. Real silk. Nice woven texture. Not shiny. Same width as my Hermes ties. I am 5’10”. My shirts have 16-1/2 inch neck. I tie my ties in a tight small double Windsor knot, down to the belt buckle (several good videos on YouTube will show you how.) But this tie is not going to work for everyone. It’s thick, the silk is thick, the lining is thick. And it’s not as long as my Hermes ties, so one star off. But at 1/20th the price I am willing to overlook a few inches missing on the short end. I bought six other colors, and an extra black. Definitely worth a try, unless you’re over about 6-2.

I originally was going for a duller rust color. Inside, this tie looks more like the photos, but outside, it is quite vibrant and more orange than I had wanted. Despite this, I am glad we went with it anyways. It matched our florals perfectly and really stood out in photos compared to the greenery of Colorado where we were married. The quality is really great and came nicely packaged in a box that we were able to keep and not damage it during our travels.

Good fit, durable fabric, color-fast… I am very happy with this tie. I am an every day tie wearing guy and this tie is now a regular part of my rotation. Will look to buy another one when it wears out or I damage it.
