This is a great product for relining your dentures to get them to fit. I wouldn't use it to make the dentures unless it's going to be a very temporary solution. I think the negative reviews are from people who are trying to make dentures and I tried that years ago and it was difficult. I did use for my lower teeth for a while but I highly recommend buying a set of dentures (or buy the top and then the bottoms as you can afford) and use this material to get them to fit your mouth perfectly. It'll last month or more before gradually wearing away, at which point you boil the dentures, remove the old material, wipe them dry and then add a new ball of this product. That's what I do: add a few sticks of this product to boiling water, scoop it out with a spoon (I use a slotted spoon), roll into a ball and press it against the denture and put it in your mouth. Press down gently with your fingers as you get used to the heat and then bite down gently. Remove them from your mouth (scrape off any excess) and put in a glass of cold water to harden. Once cooled, they're ready to wear! You'll learn to heat up the right amount and get good at it. I don't need to use any "glue" like Fixodent and I sleep with my "teeth" in my mouth. I don't call them dentures, they are my teeth! Check out ETsY and Sal Dentures to purchase a set of dentures for around $200 (or buy the top and then bottom for $100 each). Yes, they're somewhat generic and are either the temporary dentures the dentist give you to use until your custom made ones are made to order or they're ones that a customer never picked up, but they are made from a strong acrylic material that will last forever. Speaking of acrylic: that's what is used for a hard reline and for filling cavities in "real" teeth. It is the same material used for acrylic nails and if you smell the two you will know! I hope this helps. I had all my top teeth pulled around 15 years ago and I wore the temporary dentures for a long time and didn't know anything. I had the rest of my bottom teeth pulled and didn't have insurance or thousands of dollars to spend so I began researching. I had a tooth fall out of my original top dentures!! Yes, I didn't think it was possible or that they were even individual teeth until it happened at work, to my horror! I used super glue, which worked but I then ordered some teeth and some of this type of material and tried making my own. Ugh! I was getting fairly good at it but then I saw that I could buy the generic ones and use this product to get them to fit and it was life changing! I have since bought 2 sets of bottom teeth and replaced my top ones because I used to smoke and drink coffee all day long and my dentures were stained. Anyway, used as a reline material, this product works very well! It's not permanent, it'll wear down and loosen up and smell bad, so replace it at least every month.

This is the best one yet. I use this to make a partial and I’ve been trying to find one of these that holds together well after I’ve eaten with it several times. Others I’ve tried breaks down quickly and the tooth will come out because the stuff will soften so quick when eating hot foods or simply just break down quickly from use. This one has held together well and seems to be lasting much longer than others I’ve tried. . Yes you can reheat it to make it soft again to reshape but I am able to eat hot food with the partial still in my mouth and it holds together well. The color is very pink but I’ve noticed that if you work with it a little, reheating it a couple of times , the color tones down a lot while still remaining strong and holding the tooth. I am able to treat it almost as if it was a regular partial you would get from the dentist. Of course nothing is perfect but I’m finally happy I found something that will hold my partial without having to worry constantly about it breaking down and losing the tooth. You have to be quick when using this stuff because it hardens up fast, but once you figure it out, it works well.

The molding process is fairly simple, boil some water and let them sit in it until they turn gooey. Use a spoon to get them out of the hot water and then mold it to your dentures. They harden pretty quickly, within seconds. So you may have to re dip them to make soft again. Now the directions say that after you complete your mold on your denture to put in cold water to make it hard. Then you can wear your dentures. Well to be honest the taste of the product sticks to your tongue and does not go away!! No matter how much mouth rinse you use, the taste remains. My tongue has a white film on it bc of this product and a raw feeling to my tongue as well is constant as long as I have my denture in. It makes my stomach feel very sick throughout the entire day. I would give it a 8 out of 10 stars for the molding process, but a definite 1 out of 10 stars for the taste and quality of the product. I would not recommend this if you have a weak stomach because the taste of the mold is disgusting

Would not recommend, These are to soft and even if you add maluable white beads it's still to soft and will not hold. Amazon sells better quality gum material that i gave 5 stars which work great!

I have tried several different DIY denture kits, and this material is by far my favorite. The little oily beads that some kits send you to heat up and mold just did NOT work well for me compared to this stuff. I even tried ordering a cheaper material that looked like it was the same thing, but it definitely wasn’t. I ended up getting a refund and ordering more of this one because the difference was huge. This material gets soft when you put it in hot water, which makes it really easy to mold. I made mine into a U-shaped piece and let it cool just enough that it was workable but not completely hard. Then I carefully molded it to my upper gums so I could get the size and shape I needed. Once I was happy with the fit, I used ice to help cool and set the material. After it hardened, I used a small torch to attach the teeth and shape the gum material around them. I would put it back in my mouth several times during the process to check the fit and make sure everything looked right. Are my dentures perfect? Absolutely NOT 😂! But considering I made them myself, I am honestly amazed at how well they turned out. With some more practice, I think I’ll be able to make some really awesome ones. Mine fit me surprisingly well and are snug enough that I don't need denture adhesive or anything to keep them in. I mainly made these for cosmetic purposes because I can eat fine without teeth. My biggest concern is how I look and feeling confident when I smile, and these have helped me tremendously with that. I also ordered extra because, honestly, life with a 4-year-old and a 3-month-old means I’m constantly busy. 😂 I don’t sleep in my dentures and I take them out when I eat, so sometimes I’ll set them down while grabbing a snack or doing something with the kids and then completely forget where I put them. I’ve even accidentally run over a set before! So having a few extras made sense for me. I would definitely recommend THIS particular material if you’re doing a DIY project. I’ve tried cheaper versions and they were nowhere near as good. I’ll be ordering this one again!

Once heated it is pliable and drys hard, would be a 5 star if it included white color for color matching an individuals gums.

Used these and some face teeth to make a jaw spacer after losing my lower plate . Keeps the jaw space close to normal . Just pop them in hot water every now and then to reshape or add material . Better than the mouth guard I was using . And a buttload cheaper than the 600.00 to 900.00 the dentist quoted .

Making 3rd set of dentures. This item is used 4 the gums creation. Ive used b4 so I know how 2 use. never bought this 1 b4. Very expensive 4 the amount they send im hoping 2 get atleast 6 sets of upper dentures from it. U have 2 have patience & be ready 2 try several times 2 get the look & fit u like.. just reheat it & try again. Comes with step by step by step instructions
