Finally tried these. Very comfortable on first try, easy to get on and off with the zipper. It just popped into my head, "Somebody knows boots!" because these things are really designed well, the lace hooks are very very easy, and the laces are long enough to wrap around your ankle twice (wrap and tie in front). I don't know a lot, but it seems to me these guys thought of everything, carefully. All boots are awkward due to the high heel and ankle enclosure, but these do not rub (sore) anywhere - I have thin skin so I'm a good test subject. Really like them, but note that I don't wear boots often (I had a pair at boys camp when I was a kid, and the D___ things put holes in my feet so I took them off and went barefoot; then I got another pair that were really hard to get on and off; had cowboy boots once that were good, but also hard to get on and off; these here are easy, and comfortable). ... show more

The overall fit and feel of the boot felt good to my husband. however we were highly disappointed to learn the boots weren’t waterproof as advertised. Boots are high enough. I have big calves and like to place my pant ends inside of boot. Incredibly tight. Zipper takes pliers to pull up. Fit around ankles is awful. Ankle support digs into your ankle bones.

Over seems tough and durable but arrived 1/2 size bigger than I ordered. Ordered 10.5 R and seems to be an 11 although it said 10.5. Felt loose in the toe area and rubbing on the upper ankle bones. Returned for another brand.

It’s a good boot. My husband is a surveyor and one of the biggest dangers for him is being bit by a snake while out on the job. It gives him peace of mind. The waterproofing did work but it’s been close to a month and water seeps in somewhere from the foot. Another thing, since it is waterproof it keeps your foot hot and sweaty. You’ll need some good socks to keep your ankles from going raw as well. My husband recommends these boots for the winter. Overall my husband is pleased. ... show more

These boots were the perfect gift for my husband. My daughter sent a concerned story of a hunter who was bitten by a snake and wanted her daddy to have snake boots. He had been hinting that he wanted new hunting boots, so I decided to kill two birds with one stone. Very glad I did. He said of these boots, "I love the fact that they are super light-weight; not heavy and cumbersome. You can walk in these all day. I love the side, on-off, zipper feature. They are very comfortable and waterproof. I like the rubber sole and they have a good grip."
