I wanted a cologne I could wear to my office that wouldn't get complaints for being too much. GUESS 1981 hits the mark on so many levels. It's light and fresh, with a florally, slightly sweet, but not too over done making you nauseous within an hour or 2 of smelling it. Longevity is approx 4-6 hours with average wear which makes it a fabulous value for a cologne I truly enjoy. I will definitely be buying over and over.

Not necessarily for me

Based on the notes I was hoping for more of a floral forward and powdery type of scent. This is definitely still floral but more of a clean type of scent, almost like dryer sheets. I would still wear this as an everyday scent or even for running errands, going to work, etc. I was just hoping for more of a “date in the day” flirty + soft kind of scent, this is more clean + pretty if that makes sense. Overall not a bad scent, wearable, giftable, just not what I expected. Based on what I like id give it 3 stars as I’d wear it but personally wouldn’t buy again, giving it 4 because I’m not mad at it lol , the projection is stronger at first but not harsh on the nose, after a couple of hours gets lighter and lighter and as for longevity still lingers on the skin or clothes a bit, for someone who likes these types of scents I would still recommend giving it a try.
