bought 5 of these units, one broke within 1 month with light use (3 to 5 squirts a day), the other one within 3 months with average (15 to 20 squirts a day). One unit did not work right out the box. grohe customer support do not acknowledge this defect. They advised to clean the unit with water and replace. When the unit breaks, it does not allow soap dispensing, the pump does not rise, it appears stuck. We bought an entire line from grohe, shower system and kitchen and bath soap dispensers. Doesnโ€™t plug up. Replaced our old one that was constantly plugging up. The hole for our old one was too large. It would be nice if Grohe made an adapter that matched. We had to use this one with rounded edges. Not perfect

this is a very nice looking unit, which fits well with the nice Grohe kitchen faucets. it is nothing special as far as operation. it isnt very easy to fill, as the fill hole is simply the same size as where the dispenser fits, and its impossible to tell how much soap has actually been added except by looking at the source. every now and then it stops working, and then it takes awhile to determine if its just plugged or out of soap. kind of a dump approach to a very simple concept. I have often found this to be true of German fixtures...they look very good, but they are often more complex than needs require for the job. Grohe should simply this item and make it a lot more user friendly. ... show more

This soap dispenser goes very well with the Minta Faucet. It does have a fairly short spout, so make sure where you place the holes for it in your countertop as you could be getting soap everywhere, but the sink! It's a very nice looking piece of hardware and it works fine.However it wasn't designed to fit well into a standard hole in a Kohler "Mayfield" cast iron sink. The hole is a bit too big.The flat chrome plate that sits on the sink"s surface should have been 1/4" to 1/2" bigger in diameter.Because of this I have to keep a shallow pan in my cabinet directly underneath the lotion dispenser to catch what little water that seeps through from the sink's surface caused by a wet hand pushing down on the dispenser's pump. ... show more
