I usually don't write reviews as it can negatively affect a brand or company but I had to write this one because I felt I had to make a public service announcement for anyone who wanted to buy this item. I purchased this item thinking it was a solid piece I can put on top of my bed frame. First off, it took like 2 weeks to arrive. Once it arrived, I noticed the poor build quality of the item. It is made of thin flimsy plywood pieces topped with cardboard and wrapped in thin fabric stapled to the back. After about 3-4 days of use the board started squeaking (I only weigh 175lbs so that should tell you how flimsy the top is). It started to become unbearable so after about 2 weeks, my wife and I decided to get rid of it. I would have been better off just buying one at the local mattress store then I could have at least tested it out. ... show more

This product is actually a very thin box spring, with wooden slats spaced about a foot apart and covered in a very thin cloth. This is no better than letting the mattress lay on the bed stand directly. This product serves no real function, and is absolutely NOT "solid wood" as is advertised. Excellent product! The low profile (2 inch thickness) allows this to be used even with antique beds or those with bookshelves built into the headboard. Very functional and sturdy.

This mattress "foundation" is really just secured slats. It will allow the 6" mattress sag through the openings - not much, just enough to like you are camping out.

I am ranking this low due to the fact that it is misleading and false advertising. What I was sent was not a 1 piece bunkie board, but a split set. I would have purchased a cheaper unit if this was advertised.

I have a non boxpring mattress frame, this was order to help give more level to the mattress since the frame had kinda big squares holes. This helped to make the mattress sturdy. The delivery was nice and quick and organized with time.
