This version streamlines the first edition and it is very good. You don't need dice or your phone to keep track of the HP, or your Hp. The play phases are much better now that they have made it more clear and streamlined.

Now I already have the complete Enhanced Edition of Sentinels of the Multiverse, and I thought I wasn't going to pick this up. But then they announced Rook City and my hands were tied. The updated art and abilities are nice. I also enjoy the quality of life updates (counters over a thousand little tokens). But one thing I think is super interesting is that it has goals beyond defeat the villain. You could run this as a campaign which I wouldn't have thought of before. ... show more

This has quickly risen to become one of my favorite games! In this game you play as a group of heroes trying to take down a big bad by playing as a superhero and using a pre-constructed deck to play cards, and use powers to save the day!
