Don't worry, it's easy. Use a credit card as you peel and stick. Bubble? Peel back or poke with a pin. Self-adhesive backing lets you reposition. Removable wallpaper is forgiving. Why does wallpaper get wavy/bubbly after peeling backing? Looks wrinkled before applying. Self-adhesive vinyl gets wavy from being tightly rolled. Fix: Only peel 2-3 inches of backing at a time, stick that section, then slowly pull backing while using a squeegee. Work in small sections – wrinkles disappear. Does this have that strong chemical smell when you open it? Honestly, there’s a slight "new plastic" odor when first unrolled since it’s PVC. I left the rolls out for a day before installing them, and the smell faded completely. After two days on the wall, I couldn’t detect any odor at all. Can this be used in a bathroom or kitchen near the sink? It gets humid when we shower. Holding up great in powder room. PVC is waterproof – wiped off kids' splashes. Not for direct shower spray, but perfect for walls near sink or toilet. My wall is exactly 30 inches wide, but the roll comes in 16 inches. Will I have a huge ugly seam in the middle? You can overlap the edges slightly and use a sharp utility knife to cut through both layers, then peel away the scrap. This gives you a "seamless" look. Also, the pattern is forgiving. Just make sure you buy enough rolls to match the pattern.
