If you buy this hoping for the original smell of “gap grass” this isn’t even close. Not sure if it’s a dupe of the re release but I remember when “grass” came in the frosted bottle with the wavy grass blades on the label. It really smelled of a fresh cut grass just the most wonderful scent this smells nothing like this. Might as well light $40 dollars on fire if you buy this. I’d rather paid $200 dollars for an OG bottle from the 90’s risking it having turned then wear this scent. It gives notes of lemon pinesol. Anyone who thinks this is even close must not remember the real deal literally zero, zero, zero hint of grass. I can see why this re release was discontinued. I’m not sure why is it so hard to find something that smells like “gap grass” although you can get oil from Etsy inspired by “gap grass” better than this, and much cheaper. Doesn’t look like original color, not even good for a room spray. Poor quality don’t waste your money. Stinks wish I’d listened to the reviews saying so, live and learn and regift to someone you don’t like very much. Like office secret Santa 😂

Price seems high and I don’t know if Gap still sales it or if it’s been discontinued but I bought a bottle 3yrs ago from a gap outlet in AL and it was $30. But anyway I bought this one and I’m happy with the purchase. 5 stars.

Back when I was a teenager and in college in the 1990s I absolutely love the original GAP scents fragrance named Grass. It was a very gritty and earthy fresh cut lawn scent. Eventually, along with the other original fragrances, Grass was discontinued for good. This fragrance does not smell like the original Grass. However, there is a green golden grain type of fragrance that is dominant. You can definitely notice the waterlily scent as the main note in this blend. It is a light golden warm fragrance that sweetly sits with summertime. Yes I can whiff blades of grass waving in the wind within this mixture. It is not a copy of a fragrance from the distant but it is signature all on its own. This is my honest opinion of this fragrance that I do enjoy.

I try not to disappoint. My ladybird was excited about her favorite scent landing back on the market. I bought her this as a surprise. It smells fine, I guess, but IT IS NOT THE ORIGINAL SCENT. I wouldn't know, but my ladybird would, and she has very strong opinions, especially about this. So, whatevs, I thought it was fine. Ladybird finds it disappointing. I gave it my 14 year old thinking he might like it. It's back on my dresser now, so ... Maybe we'll use it on the kitty litter.

Loved it in the 2000s, love it still. The last 20 years of trying to recreate the scent with grass or green banana altered my memory but as soon as I smelt the bottle it all came back. Buy something different if you want to smell like lawn, really, this is a perfume, not a suburban park.
