This cloak did everything I needed it to do. The material is velvet and the quality was fine for the occasion. It didn't hang to the floor on me (not sure if it was supposed to), but I am 5'10 without heels. I had on 3 inch heels in my posted picture, so I am pretty tall. It's not some sort of deluxe velvet standup collar- but really, I wasn't expecting that for $25. It's pretty thin and cheap. The gold piping is far more bright yellow in person (but it does photograph well enough?). The buckle on it IS metal, which is nice, but arrived badly sewn on or damaged- quick repair I suppose, but a hassle to have to sew a brand new item. 3/5 stars because quality is low but about what I've come to expect for the reasonable price point. The elegant fold around the shoulders looks really nice in picture but less nice in person because that kind of fold works best for people about two shoulders thinner than average. At first I was disappointed in this because I thought it made me look fat, but when I went to take a picture to capture that effect, I realized I was maybe just being dramatic. Depending on what I wear underneath, it does fold somewhat like it shows in the picture, though be advised its not a very wide cloak. If you have broader shoulders, it may not fit so well. Though I was initially disappointed and quickly realized I also had no costume pieces that matched (none of them are elegant enough) I also knew I wouldn't return the item because it is very well made. The fabric is a kind of velvet. The stitching is tight and I really don't notice any flaws in the make and design. It's a very well made piece, not something you can usually find for its price, so a very good purchase, I think. ... show more
