This shirt is perfect! It's pretty much exactly what I was looking for, and the quality is pretty impressive too. Btw, it's supposed to fit loose!! Go by the size chart in the photos, and put a belt or sash around it to get the most authentic look. It's a very thin material, which I expected, but I live in Texas, so that's a good thing. It has a good drape to it, so it doesn't look cheap or like a Halloween costume. It is a bright white though, so I might tea-stain it. ... show more

I'm 5'8, 160 pounds. Ordered a small. The shirt is amazing for the price. Wish they had a beige option but the white ended up looking very nice! Nice and loose. Very thin material but that makes it easier to layer or be outside in the heat!

I bought one of these a few years ago (a ruffled one) to wear for a costume. It was so comfortable, I recently thought it might be a good idea to have a couple more, so I bought one white one and one black one. They run a bit larger than I anticipated (Bought XL in both colors), but they're so darn comfortable, I'm wearing them to sleep in. They're lightweight, breathable, and they fit me like a night shirt. I'm sure I could get away with wearing them out of the house, but they're fairly sheer (not see-through), so if that's your plan and you're a lady, WEAR A CAMISOLE under the shirts. tldr: yesyesyesyesyes <3 just check the size chart! Do you want to look like Colin Firth, stalking out of a lake, dripping and tortured as you are plagued by thoughts of your beloved? Do you dream of being your very own Fabio, smoldering on the cover of a juicy bodice ripper while wind flows through your hair and whips at your clothing? Have I got the shirt for you! I am 5'6 and abt 250-260lbs, so finding cute clothes on amazon (or anywhere really) can be... challenging, to say the least. My first time looking through, I saw the sizes and immediately clicked away, thinking this was more straight-size only clothing. But after another hour of searching, I came back and dug around a bit and discovered the beauty of this shirt - the sizes provided? they mean basically nothing! not sure what size scale they were using, but when the size chart tells you to go down two sizes, THEY MEAN IT. Trust the included size chart with your LIFE. I am generally a Men's XXL or a Woman's 22 at Torrid, and the XL shirt fits me like a 3x or 4x. it's ideally flowy and dramatic and pairs fantastically with an underbust corset. even sans corset, it can easily be dressed up or down to be masc or fem depending on preferences - I was pretty nervous to order, but I absolutely adore this shirt and am going to try and wear it whenever I can justify doing so. ... show more

Great shirt! An XL fits me a 4XL in women's shirts. A tad tight in the shoulder but livable. Very sheer nice and lightweight. I love that the linen isn't scratchy like polyester.

This was a last-minute purchase to spruce up a ren faire pirate look. Normally I wear a small in men's shirts, but ordered an XS based on other reviews. I was absolutely swimming in it, but it looked amazing. It's very sheer, which isn't a negative for me, but may be for some. The sheerness also makes it very breathable. My only complaint is that the opening is designed to stay closed more than lay open, even if unlaced, and the length of the opening is too short to expose any sort of decolletage. ... show more

Perfectly loose and light, very poofy which is exactly what I was looking for! Sleeves are super loose and a bit too long for me, but nothing that can't be fixed with a safety pin or two. The fabric is very light and breathable (and transparent so you might want a tank top underneath) perfect for hot weather. can't wait to wear it to the Ren faire!!!
