I bought this dress to wear to my husband’s 45th class reunion. Most people were dressed down but I didn’t feel over dressed because the dress is comfortable. With that said, I’ll probably wear it to a wedding or over the holidays and feel dressed up. The fabric is heavy enough that you can’t tell I’m wearing a black bra in the front facing picture (taken when I tried it on) but not so heavy that I felt uncomfortably warm. The fit is a little mixed. I bought a medium, my normal size (I’m 5’5”, 155 lbs, 38C). The top fit just right but the skirt seemed very snug. I then ordered a large but the top was too baggy and gapped open. I decided to keep the medium. It wasn’t uncomfortably tight because of the fabric but I did need control top pantyhose to smooth out everything going on underneath. The dress had shipping wrinkles so I misted it until damp and tossed it in the dryer to release them, which did not work. I had to iron the dress. A steamer may work but I don’t own one. Overall, depending on your body shape I would definitely recommend this dress.

I bought this dress for a holiday party and it was super comfortable and flattering on me. It was form-fitting without being uncomfortable and had a nice shape. It was not sheer at all and had a bit of stretch. I have a weird body shape where I'm busty but have a smaller waist and hips so most dresses don't fit me or look right on me but I loved this one. I feel it would fit various body shapes and still look great. Buy this dress!

When I first saw this dress, I was so excited that I finally found the dress I wanted for an up-coming office party. Couldn't wait for it to arrive. Once it did, I opened up the package to try it on and was disappointed that it was not what I expected. First of all, the fabric is thick and heavy. The top does not lay right and I would have to wear a camisole under it. The skirt is not lined either so it will not be flattering if you have thighs that are less than perfect. The top and the belt would look and feel so much prettier if it were in a Chiffon fabric as opposed to this heavier Spandex/polyester fabric. But perhaps then it would be the price that it was listed for if that were the case. While I love the look of the dress as the design IS flattering, I'm just not happy with the overall product itself. Too late to send it back and wait for a refund.

I was at a wedding in June and saw this on one of the family members, so I asked where she got it. She gave me the link to Amazon, and I purchased it for my son's wedding. I loved it. Definitely don't size up because the top was a little loose. It was one of the most comfortable dresses I have ever purchased. It was well made, and I loved the hidden zipper closure because it was easy to put on after we had our hair and makeup done. It was perfect for the September wedding. I loved it so much; I am purchasing another one in a different color for a December wedding. It was such a good purchase.

Needed a dress for an evening wedding in early November. I am 5’8” and overweight at 185 lbs. I have lost a lot of weight over the last few months, so I ordered an XL size instead of the recommended XXL. The dress is not lined, but the material is not super thin. Although, see my photo holding the skirt part up to the light. I guess you could probably see through it if it was a really sunny day & the sun hit the skirt just right. I also bought some shape wear in black to go underneath. It’s like a pair of high top spandex shorts. (In my mother’s day it was called a girdle. Lol.) I am wearing it under the dress in my photos. I don’t plan to wear a slip, just the shape wear underneath. The pencil shaped skirt part is tight if you try to put it on over your head. I recommend stepping into it to put it on. Not sure what’s causing the wrinkles on the top in the back. See photo. Maybe because I am still overweight & lumpy? This dress comes in a lot of color combinations. Since it’s a late fall/winter wedding I got the wine red & black.
