I used this petticoat underneath a skirt that I made and it was just the right amount of poof! Definitely not a big ball gown, but gives a little bit of lift to a skirt so it doesn't just hang flat. This is pretty- But it’s very hard to get the drawstrings to pull tight enough for how small my waist is, it consistently just undoes the Velcro rather than tightening. It’s scratchy- not comfortable. So keep that in mind. It’s also down to the floor, not quite as short as they made it seem. Works for ballgowns- not ankle length dresses. ... show more

This thing comes very flat, but mist with water and let it fluff out or steam it. It is bigger than the picture. Very nice but you will need two of them for heavier fabric.
