I bought this for work, but didn’t know it had silver metallic thread in it. I will wear it anyway, as it isn’t overly flashy. Dress fits well and is stretchy. I got a large, which is my normal current size. I wear a 12 on bottom and 14 on top, and it fits perfectly on top. There is a little room in the hips, but that is probably good for moving and sitting. I could probably size down, but would likely be tight on top. It is flattering and the tweed hides my imperfections. I have only worn to try on, but seems comfy enough and I have super sensitive skin. I like the shape of neckline, and cap sleeves are one of my favorites. Would like to get the black one, but it is inexplicably more expensive. ... show more

I love the quality of this dress. It's forgiving, so I'm 57 years old. I'm 5,5 tall. I'm wearing a 4 plus inch heels. The dress is very forgiving. It has a great quality stretch, and it's lined. My measurement are. 42D*30*44. My weight 155 lbs. The dress has a lot of give. It's easy to care for. I received lots of compliments. I would say you can probably go down a size. I purchased the pink tweed using the manufacturer size chart. I always buy based on bust measurements because that’s the hardest point for me to get things to fit properly. This dress was spot on! Use the size chart included in the photos! While I hate that the size charts from China always make me feel like I am a bloated toad I do buy based on measurements and ignore the size. I advise buyers to put aside vanity and do the same for the perfect fit. This dress is very pretty on and gives classic Chanel vibes. I paired it with some shoes that I found also on Amazon that were Chanel dupes and it was an amazing outfit. The dress is extremely comfortable. However it is unlined. It would look more expensive if it had lining! For those who aren’t used to wearing old school slips, buy one. The dress will look much more expensive when it is gliding over you vs. sticking to your skin. I did that and it truly looked so beautiful. The neckline is very unique. I loved it but did have to adjust my bra so it did not peek out on the lower corners. It wasn’t a big deal but just be aware that you may encounter this. In terms of the fabric— I would agree with other reviewers here. This is a loose tweed. I don’t know how this would hold up for everyday wear. I could see this pulling and snagging easily. But then again there are sweater dresses and people buy them so there’s that. For my purposes it works great. This is the kind of dress that is a time capsule dress. It’s a classic. You can dress it down with a cardigan or crew neck sweater and a pair of flats, or dress it up with a blazer and pumps. It terms of it being a scratchy fabric, I disagree. So many fabrics these days are slippery sports type poly or nylon or Lycra. I deplore them. If that’s what you are expecting then you won’t like this fabric. Tweed has more of a wool or cotton/linen feel which by its very nature is heavier and less soft than something like a yoga pant or legging. Tweed is also a woven fabric vs a knitted fabric so there is a texture difference. I found the dress to be comfortable which says something since I have a nerve disease that makes scratchy fabrics literally painful to wear. But I wore appropriate undergarments so that could be the difference as to why I didn’t find the fabric bothersome. Would I recommend? Yes. Do I wish it was lined? Yes. Is it comfortable? Yes. Do I think it will hold up over time? Questionable and only time will tell. Am I pleased with my purchase? Yes. Would I buy again? Yes. Update: I bought a second dress, black (plaid). Again I followed the size chart included in the photos. Just as with the first purchase, this second dress was a perfect fit for me. The more I have worn the first dress, the more I love it. It is so comfortable! I suspect I may be back for another (third) dress maybe in green or blue. Two of my friends liked it so much they have ordered for themselves. my wife is 170 lbs and 5'7, she purchased an extra large and it fits great without bunching, wrinkles, pulling over bust and hips. it also goes just below knee/Dress hangs very well and fits correctly, but if you want it to hug body tightly size down. This is a nice dress. Not sure of the material but it does have some stretch which is nice as the way the sleeves are made would be uncomfortable without the stretch. The bust area is lined. The dress I received has stitching issues in a few places. I would say the dress borderlines on true to size/runs slightly small. It is not tight but will hug/highlight every curve. So if you are curvy and want modesty, maybe size up. If you want to flaunt all your curves, get normal size. I'm a 6/8/M in most things and the medium fits to flaunt. No issue with the front, it layed how it should. It's not as long as it looks. The flounce was just at the knee. Was planning to return because of stitching issues but missed the date. I am very impressed with the quality of this dress! I am about 265 and I ordered the 2 XL which fits very well! The material is not to thin, not too thick and doesn't appear to be see through. Appreciated quick delivery as I needed to find a dress for a last-minute trip. Dress is fully lined and stretchy enough to try on without unzipping. I purchased the black dress with silver and black sequins. It came out of the package in good condition, no obvious creases, no loose sequins or threads. Looks like it will travel well in my suitcase. Reasonable quality for the price. Medium fits very comfortably, snug enough to fit my curves yet does not look tight or small on me. The skirt hits just below my knees and kick flap at back is a nice touch. For reference I am 5'2" and 145lbs with athletic build (thicker legs and upper arms) and typically wear size 8-10 dress depending on brand. My actual taped measurements are 38-30-40, which was not 100% within the size chart, so I was waffling between medium and large. So glad there were plenty of reviews which made me lean toward Medium.
