It isn't shear and I don't need to wear a slip. It drapes very nicely and is figure forgiving. The straps are very comfortable and has some stretch and sizing is true to size. Then, like a dummy, I ordered it again and meant to order a size up but again ordered a Large. Duh. When it came in I thought it felt tight but went ahead and washed it, hung it dry and wore it for Fathers day lunch and it was fine but just not loose enough for me to love the fit. The length was also shorter than I thought it would be - but almost perfect for someone my height, 5'2". Since I wore it I won't return it. I did get compliments on it and its a great tropical style, easy to pull on and wear, dress. Lightweight but full length, flattering halter neck - great for showing off that summer suntan. It is very feminine and flowy and just the right length for me. I would have given it 5 stars if it had come with a built in bra. I wore it on a cruise and it looked great (I paired it with yellow gemstones and it made them shine so much brighter with the blue contrast). I received many compliments on it.
