the good: The poles are nice. The bad: The ratcheting strap over the toes on both shoes don't ratchet. The ones that go over the ankle do. The ugly: The vertical crack is on the inside side of the snowshoe. The plastic broke on both snowshoes, same place. The silver thing above the crack is the aluminum tab coming from the spike plate. Why it would be designed like this I have no idea. It looks to me like it breaks when you're lifting the feet, not stepping down. I bought them 5 weeks ago, January 26th. They apparently cannot be returned. I've used them 6 times, about 2 miles each time, on average. If you want to buy some for a few uses and then toss, go for it. If you think you may continue with the sport, try some other ones. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. To be honest, I really like these snowshoes! The snowshoes are easy to get on and off. The poles expand and contract easily and maintain their settings. The carrying bag was an unexpected bonus and provides added utility. I used this snowshoes on heavy snow this morning. I felt no discomfort when used these snowshoes，the initial impression was quite good. They are super light and good for long distances. For the price, I really have nothing to complain about. I think this pair of snowshoes is perfect for the beginners who are interested in snowshoeing and are not ready to commit with a large investment on gears. My daughter and I got these for our Thanksgiving hike in a snowy mountain in Washington. Last year we didn't have any snowshoes and couldn't make it through the snow without much effort. Using these made navigating the deeper snow easier. They kept us either above the snow or just slightly below the surface when other footprints were sunk 10-12" into it. Needless to say we made it to the top and were very pleased. Although our feet were a bit sore from walking in these, they fit well, stayed snug and did their job. With me being just a little under 170 pounds and my daughter being around 200, I bought the size rated for our weight and they were perfect. ... show more

The 14’s are not as pictured in Amazon. The binding is one cross strap over the front and one around the heal. Thinking this will be adequate for smaller size boots. There is one large crampon. It’s pretty robust for such a small pair of snowshoes, heavy duty gauge. The toe DOES NOT pivot. This snowshoe will walk flat footed. That may be ok for a beginner/younger child. But could be a deal breaker for a little older with better coordination. Or if you are expecting the pivot as pictured and usually is a common feature. We are going to try these, but there are things here that may warrant a return. I think as another mentioned, with the above in mind, the price point is too high for the 14s. Purchased for a 6 yr old. The ratchet bindings seem to be user friendly. Other reviews hit on them, but I found them easy to use. Will update after use. ... show more

I bought these (25") for my boyfriend who weighs 155 (well under the weight limit). We went snowshoeing yesterday and the bindings were of low quality, the pole bent so he could not telescope them back in, and the spikes on these are the worst! The front spikes ended up flattening so that he was not able to get as much traction and the side ones began to go out to the side, beginning to tear the plastic. The results were very similar to the review I just read from Tommie who submitted pictures. I will be returning these. ... show more

Shoes worked great! Poles that came with shoes - strap a little too short to go around wrist with gloves comfortably. Piece on pole that is designed to hold at snow seems too small. Still a good buy.

Unfortunately we haven’t used them yet as they’re a present for our granddaughter for Christmas. What I can say is that they are well built, the orange color is bright and the poles are so colorful and fun, she will love them. I’m excited to go out snowshoeing with her. We purchased ours from LL Bean and these appear to be just as well made and came at a much less expensive price. ... show more
