I’ve tried other similar hair bands and they’ve all pulled my hair out when removing or damaged my hair by the material grabbing some hair and leaving the rest where it was. Happily I can say these have done none of that I have big voluminous wavy to curly to straight hair(depending on mood is which style/color I wear) and these bands fit them all. Even after wearing a thicker hair the bands have not stretched out so when straight thinner hair is styled it fits like a glove. Plus no headache! Most give me a headaches from being to tight or a slim elastic band that’s added in most will leave that indent not a great look! These don’t do either of those things there is no elastic band so how it can stay in place and retain its original shape I’ll never know but I do know they have a customer for as long as this band stays the same! Finally a product that just holds hair while giving a very stylishi look and variety of colors to go with different outfits. These are great to throw on when you are in a hurry and aren’t happy with your hair. Also, I wear these at work to keep debris out of my hair, and they stay on all day . I got a set of these over two years ago and have planned to get more ever since. I finally ordered several more sets and they're just as nice and comfortable. I like that I can wear them with the narrow part in the back or front/top and I've even cut the band that gathers that narrow part together off of one of my originals to make it even more comfortable to wear at night. I get migraines and most headbands aren't comfortable, or if they are, they're too loose to keep my hair out of my face. These are the sweet spot. The three reasons they get four stars instead of five is that the stitching can be a little inconsistent and I've had to trim threads and fabric edges because they're visible at either end of the gathering band. It's not this way on every headband, but at least one from each pack. The second reason is that size is a tad inconsistent. Some are snugger than others but for me it's within a tolerable range. I suspect my originals have relaxed a bit over time and laundering (no dryer, hang to dry), so they're definitely softer and a little looser. The third reason is purely cosmetic: the photos aren't accurate. One set I bought mainly because there was a nice medium gray one, but in reality it's very pale gray. In the set I'm reviewing, the one that looks lavender is medium gray. Others appear lighter or brighter than they are in reality. All in all, I'd recommend them unless you have a large head (they may be tight for you) or are very particular about getting the exact colors you see in the photos. I'm happy enough with them to keep them but I'm still on the lookout for some lighter colors and more subtle patterns. ... show more
