I bought these for my 2004 Dodge Ram 1500 based on the “garage tool” that’s on the seller’s page that says it’s compatible. I’m not sure who is responsible for uploading that info but it is totally wrong. I returned these, did some research and ordered another set that according to Amazon, would not fit my truck but they did.     • Key does slip. It's only a deterrent; like a removable stereo faceplate, the wheel key isn't best left in the car

As others have noted, the key did start to slip a couple times when torquing down lugs. I wonder about this failing overtime. Like anything, this is just a deterrent. Consider where to keep the key for a moment: you need it in the car in case of a flat tire. So do you hide the key inside? Thieves bold enough to steal wheels might easily consider breaking into the vehicle to look for it. So hide it well and remember where. Otherwise, who wants to carry a wheel lock key with them every time they go for a drive? How many of us do the same with removable faceplates on car stereos? Just saying. ... show more

My daughter works at a Home Depot and there have been a few incidents of thieves trying to steal thousands of dollars of Dewalt tools lately and that got me thinking about her wheels and tires on her car while she is in the store while at work. So I bought these locks due to their similar appearance to the regular lug nuts on her Fusion. Plus I believe these to be a good product due to prior knowledge and reputation of Gorilla Products. the product feels good, fit good, good quality, but I think I should order the MG, I Bought Mg for my wife's car and It fit better because It's the same size of the other bolts. I like anyway this locks because they are crhome as my rims. :)

See photo factory Toyota lug nut. Shiny collar portion fits into OEM alloy wheel all the way to flat washer which is tightened against wheel flange. This anti theft wheel lock design has just a taper to go against hole in wheel. Wheel lock does not have a collar that fits into wheel and the flat surface to torque against wheel flange. ... show more

I bought a used 2003 Toyota Celica with some nice rims and paintjob which will attract attention. I have to leave it parked in a bad area, so I got these to help give a little extra peace of mind (alongside a viper alarm system and 507m tilt sensor that ties into the alarm system).     • Worked great on Jeep tire carrier.

I used three of these to secure my spare tire on my Jeep's tire carrier. They worked great and I had no slipping as some have.... But as it's only holding my spare I didn't torque them like you would a wheel on your vehicle. They secure my wheel and look good doing it.
