The costume fits well for older kids and the fan works well to inflate the Dinosaur. There is elastic at the foot and the foot cover hides the shoes. This costume is great because it leaves your entire upper body free, so it's not hot or all that bothersome. It is a little bit awkward having this giant inflatable T rex in front of you, but I still find this a lot less annoying than having a stifling mask on. Everyone seems to think this thing is hysterical. It got a really positive reaction and a lot of laughs, based on the small amount of people who happened to be around when it arrived at least. I'm a pretty fat guy, about a 40-inch waist, and I was still able to wear this without any squeezing or issues. It can be hard to find fat friendly costumes, so that was a big plus. For those that haven't ever seen one of these, I'll quickly explain how inflatable costumes work. They're made from a VERY lightweight material, and they weigh next to nothing. You can shove the whole thing in a small bag the size of a large purse when you're done. They come with a little battery pack that powers a pocket-sized fan, which goes in a little hidden (sort of) stash pocket down by the side of your leg. The pocket allows air flow to the fan because it's mesh, and the fan inflates the costume around you like a balloon. You plug the holes in the balloon with your waist and two feet, which have drawstrings to pull tight and allow the balloon to inflate. The inflator fan runs the entire time you wear the costume, and it's not as annoying as it seems like it would be. It's very quiet, but you do still hear a gentle hum, and some people might be hyper aware of it and find it irritating. It requires 4 AA batteries for the fan/inflator thing, and they are NOT included. I hate that. Overall though, still a more than passing grade from me. Wonderful costume for silly people. The built in inflator works great for keeping it pumped up and in shape. Wore this for about 4 hours and it was really comfortable. I was kinda worried about the feet slipping off but there's a bit of elastic that holds it around the feet. You'll need 4 AA batteries for this. ... show more

This costume is relatively simple enough to put on and get inflated. This one was ordered for a 5'10" 279lb male and he was able to wear easily with no concern of the fit being too small or tight. Once the costume was in place it was inflated fully in only a matter of moments. The only concern we have is that the little battery operated fan does like to fall out of its pocket area which can cause some problems when you are on the move and needing this to remain inflated so we just finessed a little and got the fan situated and unable to move. ... show more

This costume has a corded waist so you can adjust it easily and contain the air to keep it inflated. Once the waist is sinched, it takes less than a minute to inflate fully. Good for teens and adults. Battery pack is already attached to the fan, but can easy be unhooked to replace the batteries. It takes 4 AA batteries, which is nice because we usually have those on hand. Fun and easy to use. Any shirt and shoes will work, so not a lot of planning ahead needed.
