    • Less than 3 months of use and had to factory data reset
You would think for a flagship phone streaming music and trying to open a video file in a text message would not be a big deal, but turns out it can corrupt the OS and stop your phone from loading. Had to factory data reset it to get it working again. Did confirm with my friend that he sent the text and the video file had no issues, so it wasn't anything malicious. Had my LG Stylo 4 for over 3 years and never had to factory data reset it. Other issues -Garbage fingerprint sensor -Need 2 hands to unlock the phone if using passcode or pattern since the pad/grid is 2/3 the screen size -Default launcher makes a quarter of your home screen useless -Tiles in the Quick settings menu is now 3 times the size meaning less settings you can access quickly -Back button is on the left and cannot be moved to the right -Tried gesture navigation and in my opinion button navigation is better. Side gestures are triggered when side scrolling even on the lowest sensitivity -2 partition phone does not help with corrupt OS and make updates extremely slow -Updates blocked on unlocked phones by Google and/or provider -Ear buds died about 2 hours faster. Tested the ear buds on my old phone and ear buds were not the issue Now I know why Google would offer $100 off and enhanced trade in value for this phone only a month after it was released. Complete garbage. Will most definitely never purchase a Google branded product again. Going with used or going with Apple depending on what Google does with Android 13 and 14. ... show more

    • Honestly, a huge disappointment
I was very excited to upgrade to a Pixel 7 after using my old LG phone for almost 5 years. Unfortunately, the Pixel 7 turned out to be a huge disappointment. The deal-breaking issue for me is the poor connectivity. I have used Google Fi for almost 5 years, and it has worked well on my LG phone. However, after switching to the Pixel 7, I started having serious connectivity issues both in the US and abroad. I got the Pixel because I thought it would be the best for Fi, but this is clearly not the case. As others have noted, the finger print reader and facial recognition work poorly. I frequently forced to enter my password instead. This is disappointing, since the finger print reader on my 5-year old phone worked much better. Moreover, compared to my 5-year old LG ThinQ, this phone has lower resolution and a less bright display. I will get a Samsung or iPhone next time around. ... show more
