I really like how this necklace looks and feels the moment I put it on. I love the gold cross, and it has that clean style that’s simple but still makes a statement, and the gold tone looks rich and warm without being flashy. Even though it’s gold filled over silver, it honestly has the weight and drape I expect from a real gold chain, so it doesn’t feel flimsy or cheap. What stood out to me right away is the finish. The 14K gold-filled layer is much thicker than regular plating, and you can tell in the shine and texture. It lays smoothly against the skin, doesn’t snag, and hasn’t irritated my skin at all. I also appreciate the lobster clasp. it feels secure and easy to use, which matters when you’re wearing something daily. I like that this chain works for just about anything. Because it is not flashy you can wear it casually with everyday outfits, but it also looks polished enough to dress up. It’s one of those pieces that works equally well on its own or layered with other necklaces. The fact that it’s safe to wear while exercising or even in the shower gives me peace of mind, because I don’t have to constantly take it on and off. The packaging was a nice bonus too. This is a nice, lightweight, delicate gold chain. There is a stamp on the chain indicating it was made with real gold. The links in the chain are very small and delicate. The chain come wrapped in plastic with a separate bonus item, a crucifix with rhinestones, also wrapped in plastic. Both came in a small pink cardboard box, with a drawer that pulls out to get the necklace. It doesn't feel like a super high quality chain, it does feel lighter and the clasps are a bit cheaper, and it's very thin, but for the price it's a decent and pretty chain. I won't personally use the crucifix, and could imagine non-Christians wouldn't either; it was an interesting choice to send. ... show more
