I was a little scared of how it would look when I was taking it out of the package, because it looked a little boxy, but on the body it looks perfect. This dress was a huge letdown. The material feels cheap and nothing like the elegant satin shown in the photos. The fit was completely off—either way too big in some places or awkwardly tight in others, making it impossible to wear comfortably. The off-shoulder design wouldn’t stay in place, and the dress looked wrinkled and shapeless right out of the package. For a dress advertised as formal and “elegant,” the quality just isn’t there. This satin off shoulder maxi dress is visually beautiful and looks very similar to the listing photos in both color and overall design. The fabric feels smooth with no stretch at all, and while it looks elegant, it offers very little forgiveness in fit. Based on the sizing provided, the XL fits more like a US size 8 to 10 at best, so it runs significantly small and may be disappointing for anyone expecting standard US sizing. I personally did not love the way the off shoulder design is constructed, as it does not sit as comfortably or securely as expected. That said, the dress itself is well made with clean seams and a long side zipper that functions smoothly and feels sturdy. I would recommend this dress for someone who is tall and thin and comfortable wearing a fitted, non stretch satin fabric. Overall, it is a quality dress with a refined look, but careful attention to the size chart is absolutely necessary before purchasing. ... show more

I am extremely disappointed in this dress. But let's start with the pros. Pros: Definitely an off the shoulder design Fully lined, no need for a slip, shape wear, or special undergarments Cons: Runs very small Virtually no range of motion with my right (dominant) arm due to the off the shoulder design I wanted to love this dress. Maybe if I had ordered a small instead of an extra small I would feel differently, but I based my order off the measurements provided by the seller, so I refuse to take full blame for that. I am a small woman, 5'3" 110-115 lbs. Typically I cannot wear women's sizes, I need to shop juniors. I couldn't get the dress zipped, and even unzipped I could barely move my right arm due to the comically small arm hole allowed by the off the shoulder design. The fabric is great quality and the entire dress is lined, which I love. But overall this dress is a "would not recommend" from me and will be returned. ... show more

It’s a no for me. It’s definitely not true to size. It fits small. I’m normally a large 6 to 8. And I couldn’t get this zipped. In terms of the wrinkle factor it’s a little bit wrinkly but nothing crazy. I’m assuming it would flatten out after being out for a while. It’s not uncomfortable. It’s just very small so if you size up, it might be more comfortable however I will say that the style of it it sits weird so it doesn’t drape nicely. It almost looks like it’s supposed to be worn straight up and down and that you’re trying to force it to be a shoulder dress if that makes sense it’s just a no for me personally but the quality of the dress itself feels nice.
