We got these to hand out to Trick-or-Treaters so they could have a little more light to be spotted easier by vehicles, as they went door to door. We purchased from 3 different seller brands. This brand was sent in a box with 1 of the other brands. All 16 of this box worked great, kids thought these were really fun, and the parents were amazed at the idea and kept thanking us ! The Glow Sticks Halloween Party Favors for Kids, 16Pcs Glow Bracelet & Necklace looks vibrant when it lights up and easily stretches, however quality and safety are lacking. If you look at my photo, the purple glow stick on the right is what it should look like when you receive it. It has a black on/off switch with a flashing mode. The white tab to pull to activate the battery and on the bottom you'll see white tape that has a bunch of character's arms are outstretched. On a couple of mine the black on/off switch was broken off and also the white pull tab was missing. You can see on my second photo that the switch on the blue glow stick is in the wrong position, doesn't quite go on and off. The purple glow stick to the right is what it should look like. The most important issue is the safety of the glow sticks. The white tape on the bottom with the character's arms outstretched, is actually holding the wires down. To most children it looks like a sticker and it comes off very easily. It shouldn't look like a cartoon sticker. It should have do not remove or some other kind of warning. Once it's removed, all the wires come out. On one of mine (the orange glow stick in the photo), the tape was already missing. It indicates on the package for 12 months and older. On the product listing page, it indicates for children 3 years and older. Five did not light up even though the tape that you pull for the battery was still initially in place. If you are going to purchase these glow sticks, I would suggest for children at least 7 years and older that can understand about not removing the tape holding the wires. Once the tape is removed, the wires fall out. The wires are very thin and smaller children would be at risk. I would also inspect each on and off switch. I would also order extra because some will fail leading to disappointment for children. This is not an expensive product and it's a good example of you get what you pay for. .

Half of these didn’t even work and they don’t stay connected very well (for if you’re going to wear around your neck). The ones that did work glowed pretty bright but wouldn’t buy again.
