I have purchased these jeans in department stores for many years but they have gotten very expensive. When I saw these at such a great price I purchased 2 pair, a week apart because I wanted to make sure they fit. The first pair was the black and exactly like the blacks I have purchased in Belk, Kohl’s and Penny’s, they run a little smaller but since I have lost 42 pounds over the last 7 months I was ok if they were smaller so I would have something for when I get down to a smaller size. To my surprise, the black pair actually wasn’t that much smaller than my other 16W that I had purchased from Belk and at Kohl’s in December, once I lose 5 more pounds they will fit great in the waist. I decided to order another pair, this time in Portland Wash, a darker blue, these fit wonderfully. I will say I did order a 16W short and these are average but since I can sew, it won’t be a big deal to cut it down and sew it to be the correct length. I just wish I could get a 14W for when I reach my next goal but I will go into a local store and try on the misses size to see what size I need to order from Amazon. Super fast delivery, even on the last one that indicated I wouldn’t receive it until 1/23-1/31, I actually received it in 3 days. I have been a lover of the Gloria Vanderbilt Classic Amanda Jeans for a long time. I bout these because they are about $15.00 cheaper than at local department stores. They are good, quality midweight denim, with a good amount of stretch that provides all day comfort when the jeans come from certain countries of origin. I love, love love the Scottsdale Wash pair, they fit and feel terrific. Unfortunately, like most American companies these days, product fabrication is outsourced to several other countries for cheaper materials and labor. With this, comes a complete disregard for quality control. I purchased both the Scottsdale Wash and Rinse Noir colors in the same size. Scottsdale Wash was made in Bangladesh, and Rinse Noir was made in Jordon. The Scottsdale Wash fit perfectly, the material was soft and smooth, mid weight denim, had the right amount of stretch over-all and the waistband was a little stretchy. The Rinse Noir pair made in Jordon was a little heavier weight, very rough and course to the touch, had very little stretch over-all, and the waistband had absolutely no stretch, and the hips were cut about an inch smaller than the other pair (again, same listed size). Sadly, I am having to send the Rinse Noir pair back. I wish I knew of a way to really get through to the company to let them know how inconsistent the sizes can be between the different countries (I've sent the suggestion to corporate before). I just wish there could be a standard that could be stuck to, so that each color stayed consistent in feel and fit so I could benefit from the lower price with Amazon. ... show more

They were also quite roomy in the hips and thighs, most likely for currier women, or those that have "saddlebags." I ended up giving them away. Always have loved GV jeans. I'm a stout 5'2 woman and the jeans cover and fit perfectly. Have a good stretch to them for my waist, & butt. Just overall comfortable. Can't go wrong.

These are great jeans overall. I have the Amanda jean shorts and love them, but the Amanda jeans don't fit me well. They have a very tapered ankle and the normal inseam isn't long enough for me, this causes the ankle to pull the pants down as I move about ha ha! This jean doesn't seem to come in the tall inseam right now so I had to return. These are very nice, a little stiff because quite thick jean material.
