I LOVE these GV Amanda jeans. I tried the first in 18W, as I like a very comfortable fit, but they really stretched, a lot within an hour of wearing, so I bought another in 16W. I am so happy I took the chance for the smaller size as I could barely keep the 18W up by the end of the day, even with a belt. The Amanda jeans are high quality fabric and sewing, and very soft, stretchy and forgiving as they mold to your body and loosen through the day. (I sit a lot on my job so I need sitting comfort and standing movement while yet neat looking). They actually are more amply cut in the thigh and calf than most who call themselves "relaxed" fit (though I could use even a bit more room as I prefer mine very loose...but then it looks baggy standing). My hour glass has shifted with sand towards the middle as I am now a matronly grandma, but these jeans look nice and trim on me. For those who like reference, I am 5ft 6in, 195-200, with measurements 44/39/44. They are even long enough for my long legs. What's the best news, I bought 3 more 16W in several colors (Frisco and Calisto), and the consistency of sizing and sewing was EXCELLENT unlike so many manufacturers where a size can vary greatly between clothing samples. ALL FOUR arrived and fit perfectly the same out of the packaging. Highly recommend to any mature woman who wants a trim looking jean that offers movement and comfort too.

these were wonderful jeans. I have been a size 22/24 plus for a long time . However I've lost some weight so I am finding out that now I am a size 20. I ordered a 20 and there is some give. These jeans are stretchy. I think I might have been able to wear a size 18, comfortably. The leg length is great if you're 5'5" there's still a bit of length for heels if not wearing flats. I washed mine and they did great and were not wrinkly out of the dryer. Material is jean material although not 100% cotton but soft and comfortable. It does flatter your look. Definitely buying ore of this brand.

When I ordered I had little hope they would fulfill my needs... I have ordered several pairs of pants before. The material in these pants were a nice denim like material .. a little softer not as stiff as denim. Comfortable. The fit is good .. fits my body well . I am waiting to see if they shrink in the laundry. The pants themselves were well stitched and well made. I never give a 5 star until after I have had it a while and they still fit all my needs.

I ordered these jeans because I have purchased them in a size 16 short several years ago. I liked them then and I love them now. This time I got size 16plus short since my waist line has gotten a little bigger. My measurements are 5.4 height, 38" waist, and 45" hip. I have an hourglass shape with regular sized thighs. These jeans fit like a (very comfortable) glove, the material is light weight but not flimsy at all. The length is perfect for me. As for the cut I would say they are only slightly tapered, more like a straight leg pant. So there is room for ladies with larger thigh measurements. I will order more colors, especially for the unbeatable price at this time.

I have purchased these jeans in department stores for many years but they have gotten very expensive. When I saw these at such a great price I purchased 2 pair, a week apart because I wanted to make sure they fit. The first pair was the black and exactly like the blacks I have purchased in Belk, Kohl’s and Penny’s, they run a little smaller but since I have lost 42 pounds over the last 7 months I was ok if they were smaller so I would have something for when I get down to a smaller size. To my surprise, the black pair actually wasn’t that much smaller than my other 16W that I had purchased from Belk and at Kohl’s in December, once I lose 5 more pounds they will fit great in the waist. I decided to order another pair, this time in Portland Wash, a darker blue, these fit wonderfully. I will say I did order a 16W short and these are average but since I can sew, it won’t be a big deal to cut it down and sew it to be the correct length. I just wish I could get a 14W for when I reach my next goal but I will go into a local store and try on the misses size to see what size I need to order from Amazon. Super fast delivery, even on the last one that indicated I wouldn’t receive it until 1/23-1/31, I actually received it in 3 days. These jeans are perfect for a 72 year old woman to wear, very comfortable and flattering.

I thought these jeans were a very good deal, fit, and look. Now it's been a bit over 3 months that I've had them and they are pilling in the inner thigh area. I know my legs rub together there but I've never had a pair of jeans do this until I've had them forever and just use them as jeans for working in the yard that's usually where they break down. Now I don't think saving the money was worth the lack of quality.

I think these jeans are great. There's a little stretch in the waist. I wasn't expecting that and like it a lot. My size is d normally a 20 plus. I have had numerous times where it is too tight, so I went up one size. I ordered the 22 plus. It actually was a little to big but not horrible. I decided to keep it and ordted a 20 plus just now. Can't wait til tomorrow to see how that one fits. So if you weigh around 220 and height of 5'4" a 20 plus would work for you. Definitely true to size

This is my fourth pair of Gloria Vanderbilt jeans, and I am never going back to other brands. The material is sturdy but slightly stretchy to allow for larger body types to move comfortably. The colors are exactly as pictured and the sizing is spot on! Great jeans for any larger folks!
