I recently tried this style of jeans from Gloria Vanderbilt. I really like how they feel and how they fit, but they are a bit big in my waist. That's because I have the classic pear shape. I'm currently at 170 lbs and 5' 8.5'', so I like the fit of size 14. The extra room in the waist will allow me to tuck in my shirt or blouse, maybe even a lightweight sweater, which I would not try until having recently lost enough weight to do so. This huckleberry color is a really nice shade of red. It's kind of a cool wine color. I won't be saving them for just the holidays since they aren't Christmas red, thankfully. I'll be able to wear a lot of my prints and solids with this color. Yay! The length is great for me and though the legs are considered "tapered", they aren't that skin tight look of skinny jeans. My knees tend to be thick, even when I'm thin, so the fit looks much better on me than any skinny jean. And they aren't that awful wide leg that seems to be "the" trend right now. These have a wider leg which i like. They are made like the ones we wore before the skinny leg came out. They are a bit long but I just roll them up a bit. Overall we'll made,and very comfortable.

Hey, if you just need a basic pair of jeans with enough stretchiness to be a little forgiving, with a reasonable weight fabric, and which looks and fits reasonably well, it's hard to go wrong with these GV brand jeans, which I've often bought in the past at a big-box warehouse store. My only complaint is common to nearly all women's jeans and slacks these days: Yes, we want pockets. But why don't you make them big enough to actually PUT something in them larger than a set of keys or a hair scrunchie? ... show more

Comfortable jeans! Love the GV brand, it never disappoints, material weight is good, not too stiff, but not thin and flimsy. Size was right on. Length was good as I am 5’5”. They look nice and have the tummy smoothing feature yet are comfortable with some stretch.

I've worn this brand for years and this will be my very first complaint. They're huge, bulky, and very long in the legs! I ordered and received my normal size 12 regular and can't believe how baggy and ill fitting they are. They look nothing like the picture. I checked every tag on them, and all were labeled correctly and matched my order. I don't know what happened with these jeans but there is no way I can wear them. Off to the Goodwill. Amazon has really dropped the ball on a lot of my orders lately. I'm beginning to think they're not worth bothering with anymore. Hate to say that. ... show more
