I bought this as a gift and it is a great skate for a beginner. Remember to always wipe and dry the blades before putting them away as they will rust over time. I have not had this issue yet as we do have blade covers that absorb moisture. These skates were used recreationally and for an ice skating course. In my opinion, it is best to learn with the same pair of skates everytime you step onto the ice. ... show more
