I received Giorgio Red as a gift thirty plus years ago, and loved it! It has been my scent all these years! A WOMAN IS SUPPOSED TO BE KNOWN BY HER SCENT! Will never be without. Just wish that they hadn’t discontinued the Giorgio red Eau de perfume many years ago. Please bring it back Giorgio!

Launched in 1989, I first noticed this fragrance as a scent sample in a magazine and interestingly, Giorgio was the first company to use this delivery method. From that application, its long lasting, and changing scent hooked me and bought a bottle as soon as I could. Now, I'm not a perfumer, but do enjoy experimenting with essential oils to scent my own personal lotions and hair care products so I'd like to share what I've learned about this special fragrance: The opening has a powdery, but lush floral fragrance and the woodsy dry down reveals other intriguing base notes of oakmoss, amber, myrrh and vanilla. The nose behind this fragrance is Bob Aliano (who created Hugo for men). It's a bit sweet and spicy, very vibrant and lasts from 9 to 10 hours. Created with at least 28 fragrance notes, it's bold, complex, multi-layered and it always makes me feel sultry and sexy. This fragrance is decidedly for women, not girls. The spray is a fine mist which I pump once, at the nape of my neck. After all these years, I still receive compliments when I wear it.
