I tried it for the first time last night. It said to test it after 5 minutes by removing a little spot of the cream from your face; to see if any hair was removed yet. No hair was gone. So I waited 2 more minutes like it said. I washed it off with a warm water washcloth and then put on the balm and it hurt my skin so bad. The removal cream didn’t remove any hair (which wasn’t very long anyway), it gave me these red acne looking spots all over my face like chemical burns, and my face hurt/stung all night long. the calming balm doesn’t really do anything either. I have yet to try it again after the 48 hours but I doubt it will do anything for me. ... show more

    • Great product!
Initially, I didn't read the instructions the first time I applied this product until after its application. After applying it on dry (i.e. not wet or dampened) skin/hair to my bikini area and rubbing it in, I saw that I should have applied it to damp hair & left a thick coat not rubbed in. At that point, I tried to add in a little water and added some extra coating. I left this treatment on for 8 minutes and it worked like a miracle. I have extremely sensitive skin (including eczema...etc) and had no reaction whatsoever. Originally, I didn't venture too far down in this region as I wanted to see what type of reaction I might have. Since I had none, I waited 48 hours and tried going for the full Brazilian concept the second time with the product (against the product's recommendation). This time I actually followed the instructions (i.e. damp hair & didn't rub it in) and left it on for 8 minutes. Shockingly, it didn't work at all. I think maybe I didn't put a thick enough coat on. When I try again in 48 hours, I am going to try my 1st method again & see what happens. All I can say though is don't use it too close to your anal region as it BURNS horribly. As soon as it touched that area, I had to wipe it off with a wash cloth and it burned for about 12 hours afterwards. Everywhere else though down in that area there was OK for me. Just as an FYI, I did try Nair in college and had zero success with it in terms of hair removal just for a comparison basis. I've been using depilatory cream for many years and this is the only brand that hasn't caused discomfort. I had a small tingling feeling when removing it, but within a half hour my skin was back to normal. No sting, tingle or itch. I couldn't believe it. Just be sure you follow instructions and use the balm they include, and you should be ok.. ... show more
