Usually I'm a medium in pants but these are more wide than I thought it would be. The knee holes also don't match up with my needs unless I wear them low wasted. I'm 5'4 120lbs and the medium fits me around the waist but I think a small would fit me better and look more like the photos show.

Initially I got a medium, but that was too tight and didn’t fit to my liking. It was too tight in the legs. Then I decided to size up twice to an XL and it doesn’t fit my waist because it’s too big. I put a belt with it so it’s okay. If you’re of similar build, you may want to go with a Large. The inseam doesn’t seem like it changed between the two sizes
